We ate here on the recommendation of our innkeepers, Jim and Julie at Eaglenest. It is at the far end of town, so it is out of the hustle and bustle of downtown. An old house renovated into a nice quaint restaurant. My wife had chicken with Bearnaise sauce and she loved it. I had the BBQ rack of ribs... More

I don't relish writing a bad review, but here goes: We'll never dine at the Julian Grill again. Been there several times over the past few summers. While the dining room is very quaint, we choose to dine al fresco. Every year the outdoor experience is marred by countless, buzzing flies. They're everywhere! The food gets sadder every year. This... More

This was the place I chose to have dinner at during my first day in Julian. I had done a search on Google maps and read some good reviews so I went. This place is REALLY expensive for the amount of food and quality. The service was okay, but I had to ask for more ice tea since the waitress... More

This restaurant has great food and wonderful atmosphere. The day we had lunch every one was eating outside but the inside is also lovely. They even kept our water glasses full. It is a converted house and covered garden area with huge servings of well prepared food.

What a quaint and adorable town. Unfortunately we arrived pretty late on a Sunday and most of the stores were closed or closing. Being very hungry we came across The Julian Grille and what a find. They have both outdoor and inside seating set in a country/Victorian style decor? The inside looked beautiful but we wanted to enjoy the end... More

Had a long and HOT motorcycle ride from southern Orange County. Only by chance did we find The Julian Grille. We had parked across the street and noted that the restaurant had a shaded patio (with breeze). That decision was supreme. We sat next to a small trickling goldfish pond. My BLT was the best I have had in decades.... More

Had dinner here during our stay at Wikiup during the Blues Fest. The food was excellent with a really nice atmosphere of a converted old house.

We were not sure what to expect but loved the atmosphere and food We had the stuffed mushrooms and grilled brie for appetizers. It was almost fondue style with grapes, strawberries and other goodies to dip in. I wish i ordered 3-4-5 of those!! The mushrooms were good but my better half ate almost all of them because i was...
