Had the Chicken pot pie for lunch...very good flavor but small portion. Also had Carmel apples and apple pie/ice cream, excellent.

The Apple Dumplings are delicious, tender crust and caramelized apples. They also have a nice assortment of pie.including chicken pot pie. You can get a cup of ice cream too. Counter service is very slow, but don't leave, it's worth the wait.

We make the trip to Julian every couple of months just to have pie at Mom's and to bring one home to my folks. Several kinds to choose from including a no sugar added apple. The apple dumpling are also fantastic! Sandwiches are good and so are their other treats. Worth the trip to Julian.

We took an apple pie to a family gathering. I was determined to not be impressed because I consider my apple pie the best but was I ever shone up! everyone raved about the crust. No one ever raved about my crust!

GREAT apple pie - a line out the door- and you can see the apple pies being made right there and then. The pastry was fairly thick, there seemed to be quite a bit of air in it, so it looked a lot bigger and better than it was - it wasn't chock full of apples - unlike the apple... More

Yum yum yummmm.. Though everyone has their personal favorites, you could pick anything off the menu blindfolded and still not go wrong! These folks have perfected their pies.. Don't be discouraged if you see a long line winding out the door, DO NOT let that dishearten you into trying out a slice of applied pie from any other store. The... More

Zero atmosphere, but the pies were good and there was a very long line. I had a French apple type pie with crumbles on top. I rated this average as the slices of pie were not big enough; kind of small actually. And the price was a bit high for a small piece of pie.

My family was visiting for the holidays and Julian was on their "must see" list. We drove up on a rainy day so I was afraid we would be turned by rangers due to snow. Luckily that was not the case. Surprisingly there was no line at Mom's so we went in right away after watching pie making in the... More

There is no question that if you go to Julian, you need to buy an apple pie at Mom's. Or have a slice right there. The apple-cherry is really good too. They are made there (watch them in the front window). If you go there before 9 am, you will not have to stand in line.
