Called in here on the way to Palm Springs from San Diego, taking a scenic route. We'd been advised that this town was renowned for the quality of it's apple pie and it was obvious from our stroll around the town that there was a lot of places serving this to choose from. We opted for this and whilst we're... More

A nice little place with homemade pies. The apple is delicious. Try and get a day old pie for about 5 dollars cheaper

After eating lunch at a nearby restaurant, a walk was necessary to make room for the reason I came to Julian. I recall eating Apple Alley Bakery apple pie with my parents over.... let's just say many - okay MANY - years ago. The quality, aroma, and satisfying flavor has remained excellent throughout those decades. When I hear Julian mentioned... More

Their pies are so delicious! The wait staff is friendly and customer-oriented. We ordered the mango apple and apple pecan and boy oh boy, were they ever good. We were served a generous piece of pie and a generous amount of "a la mode". ;)). We are very happy customers.

The yummiest pumpkin cookies with cream cheese icing. Also you can get fabulous pies here including the caramel apple pie. There is seating outside and it seems to be a bit of a hidden gem, when most people are in line across the street you can come in have a sandwhich and get some pie and not have to wait... More

Julian is known for its apple pies, and everyone has their favorites, but we have loved the pies from this place for many years. Even if you like other bakeries, give this a try.

We were so hungry after a day in the desert...so we thought we'd have dessert! It was a cute little place and we got served really quickly for how busy it was. We split a meal which was enough for the 2 of us and of course, had some PIE!! So delicious and generous amount of ice cream that my... More

My husband and I drove to Julian on a Sunday and decided to get lunch here. They advertise a lunch special of 1/2 sandwich with soup and/or salad and a piece of pie for dessert for $9.95. Sounded good. It was awful. The soup was watery (watered down split pea is just gross), the bread was on the stale side... More

Every shop in Julian sells Apple Pie. All claiming to be the best or the original or some superlative. This one wasn't too crowded...and had a good Yelp review...so we tried it out. Worth getting a la mode with cinnamon ice cream!
