Have been to the Crossroads Cafe many many times on trips to Joshua Tree, but this time we were very disappointed in the food. Burger supposedly medium rare was way overdone, not flavorful. Bun seemed old, easily fell apart. "Thai" salad that was described as...a combo of many veggies was mostly chopped romaine with a few slices of oxidized apple and some small rounds of cucumber, one or two shreds of carrot, no cabbage noticeable (though it was listed first on the menu). Ginger dressing tasted bottled, and topping of tofu was completely unseasoned and bland. "Large" salad was the size of a side salad at a coffee shop, for $14.50 with the tofu. Felt ripped off, and we have always loved this funky place that had interesting local character as well as well-cooked cafe food. Won't be going back.More

Great breakfast! Nice environment, great service and the food was unique and quality! We came in for breakfast before going to Joshua Tree National Park.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday after hiking in the park. We arrived around 3 pm and there was a 30 minute wait. The turkey blt was good- Mac and cheese was not. Tune melt was a skip- as was the chicken soup. Bathroom...was very dirty. I’d pass on this one unless you’re starving and there is no wait.More

I liked this spot for a quick, informal dinner. It's very popular, so you may have to wait. The food was delicious, and our server was very friendly. Recommended.

This place makes the finest eggs and biscuits for many miles around. The eggs were incredibly light. The place is very rustic. The coffee is strong. The service is kind and efficient. Do not drive past this place. Reward yourself with a terrific breakfast !

Biscuits and gravy are delish! Very attentive staff and cool atmosphere. Highly superior to any other JT breakfast spot.

Came across this place when looking for some vegetarian/vegan options not far from the Park. It’s more of a lunch menu, i.e. a lot of burgers, sandwiches, salads, however we found the selection actually really good, portions adequate (i.e. not too much, we were full...in a good way), and the food really tasty and delightful. I had their vegan bean chilli with a salad, while hubby had one of their meat sandwiches, and we both agreed this was the best meal we had during our Joshua Tree & Palm Springs vacation. It was approximately 10-20 min drive from our Twentynine Palms accommodation. Highly recommended!More

After hiking in Joshua Tree National Park, we enjoyed our lunch at Crossroads. I had a quesadilla that was very flavorful. After lunch, I split a warm browniexwith my daughter - about as good as the ones she makes at home!

Small menu. Was disappointed they didn't have any specials to expand it. Good service. Salad was overdressed. But soup and biscuit gave that homey feeling.

We ate here both nights we stayed in Joshua Tree because the food was so good and preferable to the alternatives in the area. Friendly staff but be aware they close at 8pm.

After a long day of travel from the east coast and drive from Palm Springs, we were tired to say the least when we arrived in Joshua Tree late on a Saturday afternoon. Following a brief stop at the NP Visitor Center, we strolled down...the street to look for the Welcome to Joshua Tree mural and came across Crossroads Cafe. It had been highly recommend in a guidebook we had on the area by James Kaiser. We immediately decided to step inside for dinner and are so glad we did. The servers were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our food was delicious. We left full, happy, and feeling more refreshed than when we entered. Highly recommend stopping here for a meal.More

It’s a very cool, ultimate Joshua Tree experience. Fabulous people watching. But I found the food to be somewhat lacking. Not a huge menu. Had a chicken quesadilla and it was ok. Would I return? Have been there twice so I’ll go somewhere else in...Joshua tree next time.More

Deloris find! Was a recommended stop with friends on our adventure thru Joshua Tree National Park, and did not disappoint. Was a bit of a wait for a table and well worth it. We were a hungry group, and we ordered a variety of dishes...and all was delicious. Home cooking is an understatement, a lot of creativity, love, pride, using good, wholesome, fresh foods goes into every dish. While waiting for our table, another customer awaiting theirs, said the drive miles to come to this restaurant. That means a lot! Highly recommend.More

I watched the staff squeeze fresh OJ late Fridat for their Satuday AM rush. The Crossroads Cafe food is wonderful. Everyone works hard. Not sure what your problem is, but the restaurant is far from “a dump”. Perhaps you want... More
