We were visiting the area and enjoyed a lunch at the Rivers End. Great views and easy to find. Service was quick and the place is very clean.

We went for the view, which was awe inspiring. Everything everyone else says about the view is true. If you go when the salmon are running order that. It was caught that day and unbelievably great. Yes, it's expensive but so are fine wines, champagne, and fine Italian shoes. It's a luxury but you'll be glad you did.

We were in the area and didn't have many options for lunch so we stopped at River's End. We knew we were heading to high end which would have been ok if the food justified the price. The view is spectacular, the service is nice but that's it. I will say that the Salmon crisp was amazing! By everything else... More

I dedcided on River's End for my 50th birthday dinner at the end of a great week in Sonoma County and I was not dissapointed. Three of us got the prawns and pasta and it was amazing. The portabella mushrooms and truffle cream sauce really made this dish special and the flavor was perfect. My daughter's boyfriend got the pork... More

Perfect sunset watching location at a lovely sight. This restaurant sits on the hill of the road overlooking the Russian River as it end into the ocean. It has a nice balcony to enjoy a drink in the sunset until you get seated. The menu is fresh and delicious and all of it is something fancy. The prices are expensive... More

Curvy roads were getting to me so we stopped for a break. We weren't hungry for a meal, so just ordered a drink at the bar and a bread basket. The bread with real butter and olive oil was delicious. The bartender was a young friendly fellow that we enjoyed conversing with and hearing him chat with some locals sitting... More

This restaurant has always provided excellent food, service, ambience, and value. But, lately they seem to have added more tables. Now customers sit uncomfortably close to adjoining tables making the dining experience less intimate. As a result of the increased capacity service has slowed and the pleasure of dining here has been lost. Add to all that the increased cost... More

It took a while to drive up the coast to get here, but worth the time. Restaurant is situated on the side of a cliff with the best views in the world. Staff and service are excellent, food is delicious and the wine list very impressive. I had the Pork and Pearls and my wife had a salmon special. Would... More

Tremendous view and great service, but the kitchen is trying way too hard. Plates are a piling on of flavors and sauces. Would you like a simple salad? How about the Technicolor Beet Salad?: "Roasted multi-color beets layered with Redwood Hill Farms goat cheese, macadamia nuts and fresh basil with an orange balsamic reduction."

We had a salmon special that was delightful. It is on the water, great views, spectacular sunset. Nice wine selection.

The epicenter of Sonoma Coast dining...the River's End is located in the quaint village of Jenner by the Sea about 20 minutes north of Bodega Bay. The restaurant is set on a bluff overlooking the Russian River spill into the Pacific Ocean. During lunch you can watch the Osprey dive in the river for fish or the harbor seals frolic at riverside. Dinner time is all about the sunset - the show is worth the visit. Fortunately, the restaurant chefs and service staff aim to outdo the natural surroundings. The kitchen prepares California cuisine with a focus on local ingredients. Chef Martin Recoder prepares menus that are changing with the seasons and delight the heart. The service staff is led by Maitre d'/Owner Bert Rangel, who has owned and managed the restaurant for over 10 years. The Chef in the Redwood Bar is talented Patrick Keane. Trained at the French Culinary Institute, Patrick utilizes the freshest ingredients and classic techniques to create truly "Artisanal Cocktails".
