Tried a few dishes, and it wasn't bad, but didn't think it was good either. I'm sure it's good for the students nearby, but if you drive, there's better Italian a few miles away. We haven't been back since.

I am from Italy and I can tell this is the best spot for Italian cuisine ever! We tried pasta alla puttanesca (olive and tomato sauce pasta) and the lasagne bolognese, and it was like going back to Italy all of a sudden. The restaurant keepers are a nice couple from Italy, prices are more then reasonable and focaccia and... More
I love this place. The Cabonara is my favorite.... I do have a minor observation. I came here 3 times... 2 times was amazing.... 1 was a bit weird... I wanted to try their meatball (which is delicious)... but when they served me the meatball (tomato based sauce) they put it on top of my Cabonara (egg/cheese type)... the sauces... More
This is a great place for a quick, but authentic Italian meal. Located in Isla Vista, it caters to college students. But there are sit down tables and a grand piano. I'm not sure what the piano has to do with the food, but it does add an elegant touch. The couple that owns and runs this place are real... More
I've written about this local favorite before as a dinner option. The owner, Antonio is also a somalier and offers a weekly wine tasting dinner each Thursday evening. My husband and I have enjoyed this event on four different occasions. Delicious food, interesting wines and animated conversation were the norm for each time we participated. I would highly recommend one... More
My husband and I are regulars at this relatively new restaurant (they just celebrated their one year anniversary). All of the entrees are freshly made. Our favorites are the pasta with pesto sauce and the lasagne. We also enjoy the daily specials. Antonio and Elisabetta will make you feel right at home.
The Pesto pasta was delicious, and a generous portion (enough to share). The Lasagna was also very good. This a great place to have an authentic Italian meal for a reasonable price.
I just returned from a month long (too short) vacation in Italy, and I sure was missing the food. Thank goodness I found Sorriso. The food is amazing. I especially loved the focaccia and the pastries filled with onions and cheese. The desserts are to die for. I am hoping to try their eggplant parm. next time I am there.... More
I spent 4 days in SB and I came here every day to eat: they manage to combine delicious italian food with high quality, adequate prices, and a kind of american taste. They offer mini pizzas, different pastas, salads and other specialities. I would really reccomend past with meat sauce and meatballs (i'm sure you never tried something like that... More
