Service was slow, some staff did not understand English. I had to ask for placemat and silver and a plate when i joined our group. My carnitas was dry and overly salty, and the salsa lacked character. I would not return although it was the closest restaurant to the hotel we regularly stay at in Indio.

Went here on the recommendation of one of the staff at Desert Breezes Resort. The food was quite good and prices were too!

I ordered the chile rellenos and they were so good. I am used to more Tex-Mex and these seem to be more true to Mexico flavors. Delicioso!!

Our usual Mexican restaurant is small and was packed to the rafters one evening, so we headed to El Campanario instead. No shortage of seats here because it is a large space with plenty of tables and booths. The owner was there to welcome us with cheer. My husband ordered the goat stew and loved it. It was not tough... More

This restaurant is easy to find and has a large parking lot. The menu has something for everyone. We chose the molcajete surf and turf meal. It was delicious. Service was prompt and efficient. It has a full bar. The dessert flan was wonderful. Food is delicious and authentic.

Picked up dinners after checking into hotel nearby where the gentleman at the desk recommended Campanario's. Food was fresh and delicious- even the mahi which I often hesitate to order. Servings were generous too. Went for breakfast the next morning and enjoyed perfectly cooked eggs. My husband gave the breakfast enchiladas 4 stars, and he's pretty fussy!

Large portion combo plate.. Chile Verde was tender and flavorful some of the most authentic and best I've had. The beans had a lot of cheese on top but they were excellent. Rice is tradition Mexican almost white not spanish kind thats red, but grea. The shredded beef taco meat lacked flavor but was juicy and tender. The corn tortillas... More

We selected this restaurant after reading about it in the AAA southern California tour guide. The selections are authentic Mexican food, the service is fantastic and the food tasted great. Many locals walked in sat down and ordered without even looking at the menu. They knew the selections and obviously ordered their favorites. We will be back when in Indio,... More
