The tack room is a quaint, interesting Tavern and Grill located on the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio. Their signature item is there BBQ ribs that has meat that falls off the bones. Very tender comma very delicious. Has a tendency to be a little crowded but the service is still good in spite of the quantity of people enjoying... More

Walked into the Tack Room after a 12 month absence - the place was poppin'! Friends had reserved a table for six and we were three couples. The combination of happy hour AND karaoke singing was unbeatable - we all had a good time and managed to have reasonable conversations, even while the singing was ongoing. Get back tot eh... More

Went for a casual Sunday night dinner since we were not that hungry. Food was tasty, service excellent, and we will go back.

The bottom line: I went to bed after eating here truly expecting to wake up in the middle of the night vomiting due to food poisoning. It was that bad. Happily, I didn't contract food poisoning, but that's about the best thing I can say about my visit. Specifically: I ordered some sort of Southwestern-y type of salad. It sounded... More

This is a very cool, laid back spot in a unique polo-grounds environment. The place has polo stuff on the walls and lots of TV's. The staff is fun and really good at their jobs. Many of us had the ribs at the suggestion of our server and she was correct....excellent. This place is unusual, casual and fun.

Stopped for a snack and a drink. The regular and bar menus have been really expanded. This makes for a really great place to stop for a bar menu-happy hour deal. The staff has changed for the better. Good service. Still lots of TV's for sports. The only drawback is that it has a high level of noise. Hard to... More

Nice rustic setting with a few saddles on the tops of the bar stools. A really friendly crowd with a nice selection of draft beers. Not fancy, but comfortable. They have a large outside seating are and live music...I'll be back for that.

This a great place to visit! Great food and a great recommendations too. My husband and I come to hang out after making our rounds checking out farms and going to see the Salton sea. While we are here we check out the horses in the barn right there by the restaurant and if we can check out a couple... More

Really cool restaurant. Located amidst the famous Indio Polo grounds, this informal local favorite is a fun place to bring visitors. Some seats are stools with saddle seats. The food is excellent and the bar is great. Wander around outside and catch a polo match (January-April) or see the rose garden.
