Had dinner in the bar, reminded me of t.v series Cheers. Everybody knows your name! Went with friends who dine there five nights a week! Always good, I was sceptical. After 30 minutes I had been introduced to a dozen friendly regulars. The waitress was...really attentive, fast service. The quality of the food was excellent. The portions humongous. Atmosphere was great. Will try the restaurant part next timeMore

Stopped here driving back from the Salton Sea. The bar was very busy, we had to park at the Midas next door as Neil's lot was full. This is allowed when Midas is closed apparently. This place has what I consider very good prices on...beers, compared to Maryland at least. Staff were nice and the place was pretty clean. Their customers all seemed to be having fun. You can't ask for much else,More

Have driven by here many times & finally decided to stop. Definitely a no frills hang out. Tap beer was down so were given the choice of bottled beer for $3 which was fair. The restaurant is run by someone different than bar so you...order at their own counter. My husband ordered the ribs which were okay & had a very smokey taste. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was also okay. (might have liked it more if the bun wasn't so hard) Weren't crazy about the beans which tasted like someone dumped too much chili powder in them. All in all, good food but nothing out of this world.More

We sought out a karaoke bar. Found Neils on google. Friendly staff, good crowd. We had chicken fingers/fries as a snack. Done well, came with dips. However, the KJ spent more time tending bar than running the karaoke. He would set up 4 singers, then...disappear for half hour or more. Then another 4 singers and then he's gone again. Very slow operator. We came for karaoke and a fast rotation, but we ende up just sitting and wasting time. We left and found Plan B Lounge in Thousand Palms on Monterey Rd near I-10. The KJ (Red) ran one singer after another and had a much better sound system. We recommend Plan B Lounge for Karaoke.More

I recently went to Neil's Lounge to meet a friend for drinks. I felt like I was walking into a country bar from a small town in Texas. Neil's is known for Karaoke. If you like Karaoke, come to Neil's. When I went it was...primarily country music Karaoke but the crowd was having fun with it. They have a full bar and western motif.More
