We visited Hashigo Sushi for Friday night dinner. The restaurant was very busy . The wait was about 1 hour. We were seated at an outside table, and there were COVID protocols in place. Our meal was delicious but the service was slow. Understandable, given...that restaurants are finally opening and people are venturing out in large numbers. This is a really good Sushi restaurant. Skip the large crowds, go on a weekday.More

The talented head sushi chef has departed. The table service is abysmal. We apologize if our much earlier review misled you. Try the Blue Fin further down PCH.

I've been coming here for over 10 years and really love this place. It has become my "Cheers" place and I have met a lot of great people, some of which have become good friends of ours now. The sushi is high quality for a...reasonable price (not over-priced/over-hyped). The lunch specials are great (Poke Bowl for $12 includes soup, salad, gyozu, and assorted sashimi). I frequently get the Sushi Bar Combo for $19. Favorite rolls are Citrus Salmon Roll and Paradise Cucumber Roll. The 845 Black Cod is delicious (hot dish, not spicy). The new Shrimp and Octopus Ceviche is fantastic! I order it with octopus only (avoiding the cholesterol). Yum! Try the house-choice cold sake, Kikisui. Smooth, medium dry, and goes down easy. Great happy hour Sun-Wed 5pm-7pm. $10 Asahi beer pitchers and a variety of discounted handrolls and other dishes. The two owners, Jimmy and Long, run a tight ship and make sure all customers are taken care of. Don't waste your time at Sushi On Fire unless you just want mediocre sushi and a loud-music millennial ambiance. Hashigo has the quality, service, and reasonably-priced sushi with a nice atmosphere.More

This is place has proven to be consistent.. Hungry go Hashigo and you won't be disappointed. The fish is fresh and the chicken katsu was great as well.

The Sushi is always fresh and a there is a good variety of daily specials. The Sushi chefs take pride in their presentation plus the Sushi Bar is large enough to keep the wait to a reasonable time even when they are busy. The week...day happy hour menu offers a lot of choices. Highly recommend!!More

No more lengthy trips to Crystal Cove for Sushi; we found the best sushi in Orange County only a short distance from our house. Sit at the bar and order from the many daily specials. Order the live seafood platter if your party is up...for it.More

Have eaten here a couple of times. Once at the sushi bar and once at a dining table. Both visits exceeded our expectations! Very friendly staff; polite, quick and attentive. The food is very good, both sushi and conventional dishes. This is our new "go...to" for sushi!More

I went her with my Japanese Aunt, brother and niece. A little out of the way for us but it was worth the trip. She highly recommended it because everything is so fresh. I would have to agree! Everything was delicious!!! Staff was wonderful as...well. Service amazing! We will all be back again! I do have to add a wonderful surprise is they had a saki there that was from my families home town in Japan. It's a small town so finding it was quite a surprise. Again, a must stop! Enjoy!More

My family and I tried Hashigos when our new favorite place was closed. My boys were raised on sushi. None of us were impressed and thought it was over priced. It could have been an off night, the place was full, but, I won't be...back. First impressions have a lot to do with raving and sharing with friends how good a place is or isn't.More
