I love the Po' Boys, especially with the fried oysters, and the warm peach pie a la mode is outstanding. Lunch is cooked and served by the friendly owner herself, and I enjoy the food so much I keep going back for more.

I had the red beans and rice. It was probably more spicy than you would have in New Orleans, but I loved it. The portion was huge. Tasty chunks of sausage and ham. I could've easily shared it with my wife and took half of it home.

I loved my meal at the New Orleans Cajun Cafe! I looked inside as I walked by and it looked comfortable and smelled great. I was then quickly surprised by the meal prices given that the restaurant's owner or primary server had several small children sitting on stools and apparently doing homework at the counter in the very small restaurant... I've driven by this place a number of times and finally decided to give it a try... First, we called on a Sunday afternoon to see how long the wait was...and was told "there is no wait..." That should've been our first cue to turn around and go somewhere else. However, we still proceeded to give this place a try.... More

Wonderful Cajun food, so easy to tell the owners know how to cook Cajun. Everything was wonderful and friendly. Will make sure to stop back on next trip to Hermosa.

I felt good being able to see cocking in front of me. A wide variety of food after a long walk by Hermosa beach. We were 6 persons and we sampled different dishes and all were delicious. The staff, especially the chef were extremely friendly and kind.

Great dinner, byob is awesome, very nice owners. Love creole and this is the real thing. Not another place like it in south bay. Enjoy

Wanted to try something different. Great little restaurant with very nice staff. Nice menu selection with reasonable prices. I can recommend the frog legs to start and then the Blackened Cajun Catfish.

We started with the flash fried oysters and the crabcakes for appetizers. We split a full order of the gumbo which was huge and delicious. Finished with the bread pudding split 4 ways. Food was all delicious, prices reasonable and free corkage. The next table had a large rack of ribs that I want to try. We'll be back soon.

Had a wonderful meal here, shrimp stuffed chicken with a shrimp sauce and spicey gumbo for my huband. The service was good and Queenie came over to say hello. She was amazed at how much food we ate, no boxing up for us it was that good
