Valette has long been our favorite Healdsburg restaurant for date night (when we get a chance to find a babysitter)! Once again, we left full and impressed by the food and service. The scallops are a must every time we go. We also got the...foie gras special (my favorite) and the torchon was delightful. Only complaint is that we could have used one more piece of brioche for two people sharing this dish. I got the duck for my entree and it was cooked perfectly. My spouse got the pork chop which was delicious as well. I kept sneaking bites of the brussel sprouts it was served with. So delicious! The desserts were great as well. The It’s not a Snickers bar was the favorite of the night but the panna cotta was the perfect, light consistency that it should be. Can’t wait to come back again!More

We visited Healdsburg in December for a special birthday celebration. It takes us a full 2 days of driving to dine at Valette, but it is so wonderful that we are still thinking about it now. This was our second visit to Valette, and it...will always be our favorite in the region, because of the quality ingredients, unique flavors, and gorgeous plating. Service is quick and professional with everybody humming smoothly as usual. This restaurant would be at least a Bib Gourmand in Europe and should be a one or two Michelin Star in America. The menu changes with the seasons, so there is always something new and exciting to enjoy. Of course, my favorite appetizer is the Day Boat Scallop En Croute, and that is simply perfection. Book in advance and enjoy a memorable evening with superb flavors and foods.More

It was our 22nd anniversary, and they pulled out all the stops for us...and we are so very grateful. We ordered the chef's "trust me" menu with six courses, along with the wine paring and... EVERY. THING. WAS. AMAZING. Each bite was a delight to...savor and a joy to behold. The wines were extraordinary and included their house Valette Cab, which is one of the finest CA Cabs I have ever tasted. Our server, Frank, has an encyclopedic knowledge and a true professional. These guys don't miss a trick and it will be an experience you will never forget. I know we won't.More

My wife and I have been wanting to try Valette since it opened. The combination of covid pandemic and difficulty of getting a reservation that met our timing had prevented our first visit until this past week. Valette lived up to the hype and we...will definitely go back. Very interesting menu (number of entrees and first courses are limited but there is great variety amongst the list so you should be able to find something you are looking for- if not try something new you might be astonished). Food is tasty and presented in a wonderful way. Service is excellent. Alfredo was very helpful. Atmosphere is pleasant though it can get a bit loud inside. Valette is almost a must have reservation- though there are about eight seats at the bar. Inside and outside seating are available. Wine list includes many local selections as it should.More

Casual, unpretentious restaurant in an old warehouse that just happens to have a three-star Michelin rating! Nice menu selection, but for the adventure, we selected the five-course tasting menu of surprises. The server and chef were very willing to help make menu selections and alternatives...to suit customer palates. Great, casual dining at reasonable prices.More

My wife and I booked a table based on the recommendation of a friend. The menu is small but the food, atmosphere and service were on point. Truly a wonderful dining experience.

Absolutely stunning. Our waiter was exceptional and offered suggestions to further enhance our meal such as sharing their incredible scallop dish. The halibut was delicious accompanied by a local Sauvignon Blanc. Being we were celebrating a birthday, the evening was topped off with a Meyer...Lemon Penna Cotta complete with candle! And if that wasn't enough, the owner's father came over to wish me a Happy Birthday which eventually turned into a very wonderful and enjoyable chat. Again, stunning.More

Make sure to get your reservation booked out when you decide to go. We booked over a month out and had a 530pm reservation. The Day Boat Scallops en croute were very good and the presentation of them was amazing. The Eggplant Falafel was good,...but the aftertaste was with me most of the night. The not a snickers bar was great and the lemon panna cotta was refreshing.More

Amazing dining experience that lived up to a magical week in Sonoma County. The outdoor dining was comfortably casual while still feeling upscale. We started with the buratta, which may have been one of our favorite dishes, and the Sonoma salad, also delicious. My sole...dish was incredibly flavorful and also a work of art, and my friend’s pork porterhouse was tender and perfectly prepared. Our server was exceptional—attentive and informative but never hovering. He encouraged us to order the bread, butter and jam dessert when we were having trouble choosing, and he was spot on—it was incredible! Highly recommend this gem among many excellent options in Healdsburg.More

A disappointing experience. I felt the range of choice was limited and service was brusque and shoddy. It would be fair to say that whilst the tiny piece of Halibut that I was given was stunning and very short lived the plated meal felt cluttered....Not a restaurant to which I would return or recommend.More

We had the scallop en croute, the sunchoke soup, the duck, the steelhead and the bread, jam and butter dessert. Apart from the steelhead (which was merely excellent), the dishes were truly superb. Michelin star level. Those dishes were the ones most recommended in the...reviews I read so other things on the menu might not be as wonderful. My favorite was the scallop which is an amazing concoction of squid ink, Pernod and champagne beurre blanc.More

This great brother owned local restaurant has a sparkling ambience in downtown Healdsburg. Started with the Captain’s Order cocktail which was fantastic, caviar and the special foie gras, entree of Wagyu tenderloin and Coriander duck. All of it cooked perfectly and Isaac stood there to...be sure it was. Terrific service, cozy warm outdoor patio, nice wine and by the glass menu. There are lots of great choices for excellent restaurants in this town, put this one at the top of your list. Perfect end to our wine tasting day.More

We were excited to go to Valette and looked forward to dining there. Unfortunately, the whole meal was disappointing and did not stand out in any way except for the wine service. (I thought it was strange that Bone Marrow was listed as a side...dish and not an appetizer. As much as I love it I'd find it a strange accompaniment to a main course. Ordered it as an appetizer anyway.) Would not go back.More

We came for our 30th anniversary dinner. The outdoor patio area was well ventilated and nicely heated. Service was attentive throughout but not intrusive. I talked my wife into the tasting menu. She is not an adventurous eater but we did it and boy, it...did not disappoint. Now I must say that for us, this is the most expensive meal we have ever had. So, we have more plebian experiences. We had 5 courses with each being a different item for each of us. Every one of them tasted great. They were smaller portions of selected items on the regular menu. It certainly let me know which things I would come back and order in the future. The day boat scallop was a fun dish. Of the entree's which were all cooked to perfection, we enjoyed the Honey Brined Pork Porterhouse the most. And "Bread Butter and Jam" dessert was amazing. Never would have ordered it based on the name but it was just scrumptious. A warning, it was a LOT of food. The portions were smaller than the regular entrees but 5 courses and we were rolling out. the flavors were so wonderful we did not want to send anything back. I would definitely return to this place for a special very tasty meal.More
