I have been here a number times and eat here every time I come to Healdsburg for wine tasting. Was last here for restaurant week and had an organic duck breast combination dinner that came with won ton soup, 2 grilled duck breast medium rare...to perfection, yang chow fried rice with fresh shrimp and vegetables, baby bock choy and cake for dessert, all for $39 for two people. Amazing, healthy and inexpensive for what we received.More

We had dinner here. Ordered vegetable fried rice, Mongolian beef and Kumpow Chicken. Ordered nirnal chilli heat which was sufficient fir us and we like a bit of heat. Both meals had lots of chillies in them and the Mongolian Beef had way too much...onions in it. Rice was fine. Service was good and didn't take too long to come outMore

I have been here a number of times because it is a great restaurant with a very good, healthy rendition of Chinese food unusual for many Chinese restaurants. The restaurant is beautiful with very good food that caters mostly to locals. The owners are always...there and consistently check with patrons to make certain the food and service is good. I most recently had the baked claypot with seafood, noodles and vegetables and pot stickers which were outstanding. The restaurant itself has an extremely nice and warm decor, unusual for a shopping center location and is clean and inviting. The service was very good with an attentive young lady who made good recommendations. We will be back again and again.More

Visiting Healdsburg and we were hungry for Chinese food. Luckily we found this out of the way place and were first impressed with how beautiful and clean the restaurant was for a Chinese restaurant. We had the hot and sour soup, walnut prawns, house special...chow mein and kung pao chicken. It was all great and the prices were great for Healdsburg. We will be back when in Healdsburg.More

it's nice to find an out of the way place in Healdsburg to eat that is not overly priced for the quality you receive. We ate here the other day and not only was the food and service very good, the restaurant very nice and...clean, the prices were very reasonable with large servings. Had the pot stickers, sizzling beef, honey walnut prawns and chown mein. It was literally the best Chinese food we have had north of San Francisco. The food is the lighter Hong Kong style than what is common in the other Chinese restaurants in the area, lighter, less sodium, no msg and fresh vegetables. We have been here before and will be back. If you are used to the overly sweet and salty food more common in the area, you might be surprised by the flavors.More

I was less than happy with the food here. There was nothing special about anything we ordered. In a town full of great restaurants, this is not one of them.

This was our first time here. Had a late dinner with our family in the patio. The food was good and the portions were large. Spoke to the owner who checked on our experience and brought our bottle of wine. Our child ate for free...as there is a children's menu and the eat free on Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays. We had one of the combination dinners and a couple of items of the child's menu.More

Had dinner with my relatives Saturday evening was happily surprised. It's a clean beautiful restaurant with a great wine bar and copper ceilings in the unexpected location of a shopping center. I am American born Chinese from San Francisco and me and my family know...good Chinese food when we have it. The food was the best Chinese food we have had north of SF and as good as any you will find in SF. it was great as well as the service. We had a seafood claypot, house special chowmein and Mongolian Beef. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, probably the best hot and sour soup we have ever had and everything else fresh and flavorable.More

We had dinner there last night and were so disappointed. When we got there, it was not at all crowded (three tables occupied) and were looking forward to a quiet meal. That was not to be. Chris and Gina (owners) were at the bar holding...court with 3 customers and they were all SHOUTING. We could not have a reasonable conversation above the noise. We were not advised about any specials (there were some) so we just ordered off the menu. Pot stickers (bland), spring rolls with shrimp added for extra price (less than bland and fell apart), a fried chicken dish (ok for spice), and moo shoo pork (once again bland, even when using all the brown sauce on half the serving). Pork was also only slightly present in the pork dish. Plain rice was an extra charge (really? at a Chinese restaurant??). We had to ask for chop sticks, only one fork per diner was provided. We would have ordered another round of beers, but the server did not ask if we needed anything else, so we did not order more. The owners, so present and loud at the bar, did not visit our table at all. And did I say they were not busy? I work in a customer service industry, and this is not what I expect on a slow night when the owners should be trying to impress all customers and diners, not just 3 loud people at the bar.More

I wrote a review shortly after 8 Dragons opened...and was quite unimpressed. It took me six months to return, and my spicy eggplant lunch was top-notch! I suspect I won't wait another six month for the rubber match.
