We went for lunch. Sandwiches are good, but nothing special about them. The star attraction is the ice cream. My sister said, "Only order one scoop." I'm glad I took her advice. My one scoop sundae had as much homemade ice cream as three or four scoops anywhere else. It was good premium ice cream too - lots of creamy... More

If you want delicious, homemade ice cream, this is the place. It's a landmark in the area, gets packed on weekends. Old-time ice creamery, with a wrap-around bar complete with stools for enjoying your treats. The building is vintage, takes you back to a simpler time. There are booths as well. Servings are exceptionally generous, 1 scoop is equivalent to... More

The banana splits are the best!! We change the ice cream flavors, including our favorite, banana, and mix up different toppings! It's quite a work of art!! Their delicious sandwiches are paired with the best sliced pickles anywhere!! If you want an eye-popping treat, get the S-O-S!! You will not be disappointed!!

This place is awesome! They have great selection, and most importantly...great service. I really liked the cleanliness of the place.

The atmosphere is delapadated 50s. The food is terrible. The boss is grumpy. You get lots of mediocre ice cream, if that's what you like. Not impressed. The teenagers who wait your table are nice. Probably overworked and underpaid. I'd go to Baskin-Robbins or Sonic for ice cream over this place.

Pros: Wow...five of us shared a 2-scoop Sunday. Seriously gigantic! Was a fun old fashioned parlor straight out of the 50's. Very flavorful Icecream! Wonderful dessert destination! Cons: Would not recommend anything but the icecream, as the sandwiches were much lacking. Also could use major cleaning...tables, floor windows, restrooms quite filthy...really!

Really fun old fashioned ice cream shop. Super busy on weekend nights. The serving sizes were huge. Share or plan on taking some home. Flavors were not exotic, but good flavor.

When I was a child, my grandfather who was a well-known chef in the area back in the ’70s and ’80s, would take me to a place called Superior Dairy in the agricultural town of Hanford, California. Superior Dairy has become well-known in the United States for being one of the must-go to ice cream shops. It’s a well-deserved recognition... More

This is where my grandkids chose to come for a back to school treat. The ice cream way great. One had chocolate chip, one had a chocolate sundae with cookie ice cream and the other had vanilla ice cream with strawberries. All very yummy! As always we left very full and very happy!!
