Like all the Yelpers say, Akasaka Sushi Restaurant has a legendary chirashi bowl that competes with, and sometimes better than those you can find in Japan. I've had some of the freshest fish and chirashi bowls at tsukiji market in Tokyo, and have to say that Akasaka makes a mean chirashi bowl that rivals the best chirashi bowls in the... More

The freshest sashimi and great presentation. They recently had a remodel, added extra staff and service is quick. But the sushi is still the best!

Although we had positive experiences in the past, our last visit was punctuated by unacceptable behaviors. First, refusing to seat us because one person was missing was strange as we had a reservation. But the term seems subject to interpretation. Second, there is no organization, with everyone doing everything, resulting in serious hygiene issues. For instance, a person would go... More

Akasaka is located in a residential area, but that doesn't stop people from coming. I usually call ahead to make reservation or you will have to wait 30-45 minutes for a seat during rush hour. Their Chirashi bowl is HUGE. It is a little pricey, but it is definitely worth it. The fish is very fresh and one bowl is... More

Unlike traditional Japanese restaurant, this place is well known for its jumbo portion. Huge Chirashi bowl, sushi rolls.

Looks like a dumpy little place I in a sketchy neighborhood. Don't let that fool you! Incredibly good food!

This place is very popular, and it is always packed. If you don't want to wait an hour for your meal, then it is recommended that you make a reservation. When we first came here several years ago, this place gives you good value for your money as the sushi and sashimi were cut very thick. Gradually they raised the... More

Set there this February with 6 friends. When we arrived at the neighborhood the area seemed kind of shady. It is located pretty much near houses with hardly any restaurants around. Seems like someone decided to open a Japanese restaurant at home. When we entered the place was FULL!! apart for just one table that was practically waiting for us.... More
