This is my favorite place for a nice dinner in Groveland. I enjoy especially eating outside on their patio. We've also had wonderful dinners in the bar where they allow us to eat when we have our dog. Excellent food.

There are not many restaurants near Yosemite and this is a very good one. It had a very good menu, with steaks, ribs, lamb, and fish at reasonable prices (about $20 a entrée less than the Majestic dining room in the park). I had the ribs. they were excellent.

Although we had reservations for dining here June 30th, they called me a week ahead of time to tell me they're closing the restaurant. I'm guessing the chef may have jumped ship to that new resort on Hwy 120 just outside the Park, Yosemite Ridge Resort.

Booked this restaurant for our first night in groveland & wanted something special. We were greeted by waitress who explained that they had run out of the "fish of the day" & pasta dish was also gone. It was not busy & only 7.30! Salad appetisers were very disappointing & uninspiring. We were a party of 4 & all ordered... More

Sounds like a lot of people are ambivalent about the dinner menu here but I was quite pleased by the breakfast. This is a really charming hotel; I don’t know what it’s like to stay here but it looks super cozy and they have a great little patio area with a garden. Nice service My wife and I stopped by... Nice ambience, poor food. For a much better meal, go across the street to the Charlotte hotel. Our fish was nearly raw and had to be sent back. My wife had to settle for appetizers because the meal took so long and was bad.

WE keep trying, really want to like the place. Had several good meal several years ago. They are missing the mark now. Multiple items on the menu not available. Didn't let us know that the onion soup was n/a until thy had already served everyone's salads. Wines weren't the right vintage per the wine list.

Friendly service, nice atmosphere: linen and crystal. The food was good. Meat cooked correctly and served attractively. Service was friendly and wine was reasonably priced. If you are in Groveland, it is one of the few stops that is not an ultra casual fast food place.

We tried the cellar door again and found that not much had changed. I meand the food is not bad, and the ambience is "historical" but I was not impressed with the new menu. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a wow restaurant in Groveland on the way to Yosemite. We will try it again next year and see... More

While staying near Groveland while on vacation we choose to eat here for our Wedding Anniversary. Due to needing a gluten free diet I had contacted in advance and had a quick reply to advise that this would not be a problem. They were aware that it was our Anniversary and wished us a Happy Anniversary and gave us a... More
