Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend. Very clean and very friendly. First time in Groveland. A very small town but this cafe is a must to try!

I'm English and I've had countless trips to all parts of the US. It's a country I love but one thing they cannot do for love nor money is make a decent cup of tea! Basically what they do is give you a tea bag, poor vaguely hotish water into a cup and that's it. Dori's is the one and... More

We visited Dori’s Tea Cottage in mid-August on our way to San Francisco from Yosemite. We researched this place ahead of time and decided it would be a good stop for lunch. We are tea lovers and love tea houses, so this was a nice treat. Dori’s Tea Cottage is easy to find as it is right on the main... More

Best place to celebrate High Tea in all of Tuolumne County. Quality of food is excellent. The service is friendly and the restaurant has great ambiance.

We decided to eat here because of their posted menu. The place across the street was cheaper, but we liked Dori's selections better. There is a Tea Room, a store with a lot of tea items and other things, take out, and a few tables in the front. We ordered, and waited. We happened to talk to the mother of... More

A grocery store come cafe. Stocked with all sorts of stuff including locally produced honey and jam. We stopped for a sandwich and salad. Generous helpings and tasty food.

What a wonderful stop this is on the way to Yosemite. Located right on the main highway, it is a convenient place to grab a snack and stretch. We opted to try their pastries as well as a breakfast wrap. Their pastries are really good; fresh and sweet. The breakfast wrap hit the spot; prepared fresh, it had lots of... More

We stopped for breakfast here on the way to Hetch Hetchy. The service staff was great. We ordered the breakfast bagel, breakfast wrap, veggie quinoa wrap, banana bread, cinnamon roll, iced tea, and dirty chai. None disappointed and all were served promptly. The adjoining shop was also fun to poke around in, and I was able to buy the tea... More

We invite you to step back in time to enjoy the charming atmosphere of this historical site and to partake in the English tradition of taking tea. Dori's Tea Cottage opened in May 2008 to continue this fine tea tradition and to expand on Dori's life-long love of tea. In 2012, Dori's expanded into the adjacent space that is now Dori's Cafe, which was Groveland's former U.S. Post Office. The Cafe features espresso, gelato, smoothies, fresh brewed iced teas, sandwiches, wraps, quiche, soup, salad and a variety of bakery items. We hope you enjoy your visit - whether you enjoy a quick breakfast, join us for our English tea luncheon, or "Build a Picnic" for your trip to Yosemite.
