I met a friend for lunch last week and we both enjoyed out meal so much. I had the salad wit pear, mixed greens and gorgonzola cheese. This salad alone was worth the trip. My friend and I shared the Linguini with seafood. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the muscles, clams, shrimp and calamari were perfectly cooked also. We each had a glass of red wine. My friend and I had not seen each other in three years so we both had a lot of catching up and the restaurant never made us feel rushed to leave our table. The service was excellent.

We love this restaurant but miss being able to visit during this Covid shut down. In order to support our local business we ordered and picked up our lunch today. Again,we were treated without the best pizza and today Gnocchi. We shared the quatro stagiori Pizzi, pancetta plus mushrooms and artichoke leaves with real tomato sa use on a perfect crisp crust like we have had in our Italian travels. The gnocchi, with pesto cream sauce, was superb! An out standing lunch for take out from the best Italian trattoria I our area. Five stars for a wonderful meal at a reasonable price.

I've been coming to Vaiano's for many years and am always pleased with their offerings. I especially like their veal marsala. Always tender and perfectly cooked. Their pastas and sauces are great too. They are a great addition to the short Granite Bay restaurant collection, but certainly among the finest.

The food was excellent, the servings were generous, but the very poor service detracted from the dining experience. In contrast to the tables around us, we were not offered pepper for our salads, nor were we offered grated Parmesan for our pasta. No one refilled our water glasses, touched base with us to see if we wanted to order additional wine, etc. The only "return" trip to our table was to drop off the bill.

This is our hometown local go to Italian restaurant. We have been coming here for years. The last 3 times we have dined here,+ twice ordering takeout have been a huge disappointment. Food was totally subpar. My pasta dish had no flavor, the sausage was undercooked, the arugula soggy. My husbands veal dish was plated with no care and he barely ate any of it. Prices have gone up considerably as well. For a small, casual dining experience, 17.5 for a pasta dish is excessive, especially considering it does not include a salad or bread. They are now charging $2 for bread. Server was ok, but not very friendly, and never checked in with how the meal went. This place used to be packed but we noticed no one dining outside and indoors was 1/3 full and it was 7pm on a Saturday night. Our replacement place is about the same distance from our home, always welcoming, great food and service and way cheaper.

Very disappointed. Reading the reviews and it did not live up to any of them. Ordered two meatball sandwiches and a pasta dish plus a pizza. The pizza shows up first (after a long wait) and finally the two sandwiches with the pasta dish. We waited a long time for the food. The sandwiches were not hot but luke warm, some of the cheese was not melted. The top piece of bread was a piece of pizza dough because they did not have the proper bread. It was just a poor experience all the way around!

Enjoyed dinner with our oldest son and his girlfriend. Salads we're well prepared. My spouse and I had the chopped salad - excellent. I enjoyed the ribeye served over spinach and enjoyed the seasoning very much. Spouse has the gluten free chicken parmesan with penne pasta -- excellent she said. Son/girlfriend had clams and they said it was very well prepared. The quality and quantity of food left no room for dessert, but several things looked great. Service was a bit slow for a Monday night, I guess that speaks to the popularity of this place. Recommend and would come again.

We stopped in at 2:30 for a late lunch (served until 4 PM) and we were so glad we did. Our waitress, Annie, was perfect. She brought out our drinks and also bread with Balsamic and garlic oil on the side. We each had salads first which came out in plenty of time to finish before the main course. The spaghetti and meatball had a solid Italian taste. The portion was just right for a lunch. We asked to see the wine list and dinner menu because we will definitely be back. Each request was met with a smile. Kudos Annie!

This little restaurant is a great place for authentic and delicious Italian food when in the Granite Bay area. It's cozy and personable with a good selection of pasta and other delectable dishes. We recently joined friends for dinner here on a Friday night. It was full, but not crowded. I had the Tagliatelle ai Funghi, a nice fettuccine with blended mushrooms, shallots and garlic. The others had a mix of other different dishes which were wonderful.

Walked in at 8:30 pm after Dominick’s said their kitchen was closed. Their homemade bread was delicious. The chicken parmesan was much better than La Pazza in Auburn. Their wine selection was modestly priced and very good. Rosa our waitress was darling and they gave us no hassle for our small service dog. Also it was inexpensive. As good as it gets for quality food per dollar spent.

I recommend the pizzas we had the Sausage pizza thin crust and the sea food pasta was not big enough to share so the portions are a single small bowl. The bread is tasty with the oil.

Dominick's has nothing to worry about. The only reason we gave it 3 stars is the Pear Salad which was delicious. Other than that OMG bad. We should have turned around when there was no one there Friday at lunch time. Then should have found a reason to leave when my wife asked if all the pasta was made fresh and were told no, but they got their pasta from (some supplier) which she acted like should've impressed us. We started with pear salad and the soup. As mentioned the pear salad was excellent, my wife's bean soup was a thick , not liquid at all really mush. Had some ok flavor. Then as directed to the best stuff on the menu by our waitress, my wife had the highly recommended Spinach Ravioli's and I had the raved about lasagna that I had to get. The Ravioli's had a decent meat sauce, but were overcooked (not hand-made) with no recognizable flavors. Mushy. The Lasagna was maybe the worst I've ever had. The suppliers delivered pasta noodles were overcooked and it was over-filled for some reason with béchamel sauce and other "stuff" (unidentifiable) to make this mushy goo. It really was not good on any level. Add to that a poor wine list with many cheap Italian wines, and we won't be giving them a second chance.

We had reservations for 6, and were seated promptly. We had attentive, friendly, but not overbearing service. Simple decor, perfect for a small local spot. Everyone enjoyed their meal and most of us had take home boxes. We all had something different and each dish was good.

This was a first time to this little eatery in a strip mall by a barber shop. It was worth the ten-mile drive from our Sun City Roseville to this nondescript Italian restaurant. Our birthday group of five was greeted and seated in a cheery manner. The place was quite full on a Monday night. From the start, waitress Natalya made us feel welcome. She did everything right. I had the rib-eye, rare and cut in strips piled over spinach. We devoured the crisp sourdough dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. They brought more. Our orders were mixed, even including vegetarian pizza. We shared a bottle of Super Tuscan red ($34). They offer many upscale Italian wines. A Brunello sells for $83. The small place has no bar, no hard liquor—and a small waiting area. Our waitress did it all, brought complimentary ice cream for the birthday boy (me), took a group photo for us, smiled all the while. Dinner tab for five was $150. We tipped $30. Recommended.

Vaiano Trattoria is one of those little gems of a dining place that you're glad to live near. It hasn't changed over the years its been here except its gotten better with age. We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit. We started with the Salmon Carpaccio ($13.50) and a cup and bowl of soup ($4 and $6.50) which was an excellent white bean soup. My wife ordered the Spaghetti & Meat Ball ($15.50) and I ordered the special NY Steak with garlic mashed potatoes ($28), both of these were excellent quality and very good. With those we drank a couple of glasses of Banfi Chianti ($8.75) which was an excellent choice and complimented the food perfectly. The bread and oil that started the meal were also top flight, warm and soft chewy bread, it's very hard not to eat too much of it! We found this place to be a nice romantic interlude to our otherwise very busy lives, and the price of $91.16 not including tip very much in line with the quality and service provided. We just need to return here more often and try more menu items. Highly recommended!
