I love this place. It started with the tacos then the enchiladas and the mole is outstanding, the tortillas are handmade, thick and delicious. I pretty much just like everything on the menu.

Never mind that it is in the tiny suburb of Montrose. Nor that its décor is not "Architectural Digest" perfect. La Cabanita has truly authentic Mexican ... not cooking ... but Cuisine. From the handling of the Masa, to the absolutely "spot on" Mole sauces, to the excellent drinks and tequilas, even the most experienced "fan and follower" of such... More
Good Mexican food. It is family oriented It is family owned and run with good service. It has a great family touch to the decor
La Cabanita is always full as its one of the best options for authentic Mexican food in the area. They have a large varied menu.Good selection of margaritas. Service is always good. They recently started offering traditional Mexican breakfasts .Only drawback tis they are closed on Sundays . ..so no Sunday brunch!
It used to be a great place to hang out, have a margarita and enjoy good Mexican food. But lately, has in the area there is no competition, both the quality of the food and service has deteriorated. Chipped margarita glasses (when you are lucky) or '99c store quality' plastic glasses. Rude service, margarita drinks poured out of a pre-made,... More
Not your average Mexican place. Forget refried beans and burritos. This is the place for moles, enchiladas and fish. Yes they have chips and salsa. Very fresh authentic southern Mexican food. You will love this place! Mexican beers.
An OK dinner was ruined by the environment...this place is NOISY! The acoustics are terrible...one has to yell to be heard...and, of course that only makes it worse! If you like mole--then you will most likely love La Cabinita. This is one of my go-to places in Glendale and I am never disappointed. They have options for vegans as well as carnivores. The soups and enchiladas are my favorites!
This is considered the best and most authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. Be warned that when you go during peak hours the noise level can get oppressive and the lack of service can be irritating, but the food is good enough to chance a visit during off hours.
