They need some help here, you can only eat outside at this time, and the temperature was in the low 50s, quite cool, and none of their heaters were on. Our server told us that they forgot to get the propane for the heaters, which...made for a very uncomfortable dinner, as we were freezing! There were only four tables, yet service was slow, and when we asked for our drinks, since it has been quite a while, we were told that they couldn’t find the bartender! The sad part is the food was excellent, the bread they bring to the table Is wonderful and different. My friends carbonara was wonderful, and the sauce on my pasta was very tasty, sadly A miss on the meatballs, Italians should know that a meatball is cut with a fork not with a knife, and they were too hard. Would love to return when they get their act together, it’s a lovely place.More

They say that if meat is grilled correctly, you only need a small amount of seasonings. They have the recipe down perfectly here! We went with four couples. All four men ordered the Rack of Lamb and everyone said it was the best they ever...had. One ordered the ribs that fell off the bone, one ordered the salmon, and I ordered the Veal Chop. My Veal Chop was absolutely AMAZING - I had no idea what to order, but was encouraged to try meat that was prepared on their Argentina grill. I thought I'd try the Veal Chop since I've never had that before. It was so tender and so full of flavor. I like rare steak, but the waitress recommended Medium so we met in the middle with Medium Rare and that was exactly perfect! They were also very accommodating with a large group also. Great space, great food, can't go wrong! (Except there was Risotto as a special for the night and it was too bacony....I'd skip that!)More

Beautiful setting, pool, outdoor lite snacks and cocktails, inside muesum, large sit down restaurant, and outside setting. Perfect spot for lazy afternoon lunches, brunches and dinners. Food was delicious, and the ambiance was fantastic. The is the perfect Wine Country venue.

We went to Rustic to grab lunch before wine tasting. The good, tasty, down to earth fare. When we arrived, the Host assumed that we didn't have a reservation and immediately moved to sit us outside in the rain. That was not so pleasant. But,...our server was outstanding and the restaurant had really nice ambiance.More

Sounds good ... Coppola's winery, cool building, good menu with an Argentine special meat grill. But like many a movie -- the reality isn't quite how it appears on screen. Very commercial with all types of things for sale. Lots of tour bus parking. Some...interesting movie artifacts -- but why show everything about "Tucker" and ignore "The Godfather?" And the food was the same way -- the Chicken Mattone sounds great on the screen, er menu, but the reality was, while moist, it was almost tasteless. At least the portions were large and the wine pours generous. Not bad, but hard to compete in an area with so many exceptionally tasty restaurants.More

We were a group of 3 couples and came for dinner after cycling in Levi’s Gran Fondo. Rustic has been our choice of restaurant after Levi’s for many years. We have always come back because it’s been such a terrific dining experience. But this year...was below our expectations. If we hadn’t had such superior experiences in the past we might not have been so disappointed. It started when we arrived. It was a Sat night and the parking lot was so dark - not very well lit. Not many people in the shop and the rooms of movie artifacts. It used to have a more exciting atmosphere. The patio continues to be a fabulous location for dining - so pretty with greenery and lights and a beautiful view. And the food continues to be good. But our server was just okay and in the past we have had very professional servers with lots of personality and they made the evening so much fun. We didn’t see any servers like that this time. We were there to celebrate the very difficult bike ride that we had accomplished and we were thirsty and hungry! Our server didn’t show much personality and we had to keep asking for things that we needed. We told her we wanted to start with sparkling wine and then switch to red wine with our food. She brought and poured the red wine first. Not a big deal but not what you expect at such a fine restaurant. By 9:30 the restaurant was empty and we were the only ones left - on a Sat night! We got the impression that it’s just not as popular as it used to be and for us it wasn’t worth the long drive. Next year we’ll find a spectacular restaurant closer to Santa Rosa as we know there are plenty of them.More

This review is pertinent to A Tavola night at Rustic. My wife and I arrived on time and were promptly seated. Unfortunately, we were seated near an air conditioner vent so I was chilled. We asked for another table and were quickly reseated in a...more comfortable location. I was intrigued by the concept of being served "Family Style". I have fond memories of dining years ago in a Basque boarding house where the food was served family-style at communal tables. After being reseated, the next thing I know, we are being bombarded by the servers. Every couple of minutes, another server was dishing up a new food item. I was expecting a more relaxed experience. I felt overwhelmed and a little uncomfortable. The food quality was decent but not exceptional. I would put it in the same category as a high-end buffet similar to dishes served in a casino. We had green salad, chicken parm, brisket, baked cod, pasta, stuffed pork loin, and a fried salmon dish that was tasty. The servers were congenial and dressed in costume. But, I would have appreciated a more leisurely dining experience where I have time to savor the food and enjoy my companion. Each table was set with a large plate atop a wire stand in the middle of the table. I have no idea what it was for. No one explained what we were supposed to do with it. My recommendation would be to greet each party and explain the details. Find out if the guests are in a hurry or not and pace the servings accordingly. It would make for a more enjoyable dining experience.More

We had the wine pairing menu and had four beautiful courses. Each one better than the last. The service was excellent and well worth the price. I can't wait to go back.

My suggestion would be to call the restaurant and ask. A lot quicker than trying to find out here.
