I like the comfortable atmosphere at Mae's. I never feel rushed and the food is simply downhome cooking.

The food is slightly above average but the service is surprisingly wonderful. Since it's open 24 hours, I expected the carpets to be dirty/messy and I wasn't let down. However, the cobb salad I ordered was very fresh and just what you'd expect to receive at a chain restaurant such as Coco's. I was able to substitute the blue cheese... More

We came here for the first time and we liked. They had Turkey Dinner as special for that day and we liked it. I looked at the menu and they have lots of choices and the decoration his pretty nice. I see that some guests are regulars because they knew the waitress and another thing "They Never Close" met our... More

When we want a 'close to home' relaxing café to eat at, we look towards May's Café, right next to the 22 frwy. hop a ride if your local or if you want a relaxing place, no rush kinda place-this is it. Feel free to browse the menu for a great variety of Sandwiches, Salads, desserts. Breakfast, Lunch or dinner,... More

I have driven past Mae's for 14+ years. Finally after I moved and came back in town to visit Grandma-in-law she insisted on taking my girls and me to "her place." She is a "Mae" after all. I ordered the Frisco burger, although I was skeptical of the "secret sauce." I inquired if it was like 1000 Island and was... More

When it's 3AM and you're out with a group of friends, there are limited choices when it comes to dining options. Most people would go to Dennys or Norms, but the locals know to come to Mae's cafe. This place is super old school and they serve large, delicious hang over cures. The manly meal will feed two people and... More

Our first visit to Mae's after passing by it for years. What struck us as we walked in was the fact the décor was in dire need of updating. A few bright colors would help and new booth upholstery. Once we were seated our server met us promptly. However it took over 20 minutes for us to receive our food... More

The first time I went to Mae's Cafe, my mother and I were having breakfast and it was absolutly delicious! We were sold that this was gonna be our regular spot. Then the 2nd time we went it was absoulutly awful!!! Food was disgusting and the coffee was not only cold but it tasted like it was yesterdays batch! I... More

Went here once back in August 2013 and one more time lately during my trip to SoCal. Good food and reasonable price, but don't expect some 5 star quality food. I enjoyed my meal, a steak with turnover eggs and lyonnaise potatoes (ate breakfast and dinner) overall.

Not my lucky night, we ordered the special of the night pork chops (very dry with overcooked green beans; maybe from a can?) I ordered the steak skillet with baked potato MEDIUM. The 1st try was bloody red and I returned it. The all American waitress showed me the ticket and it stated "M". The 2nd time the skillet was... More
