If you can find it, Amelia's is the place to go for lunch in Garberville. Most orders are to go as there is limited room to dine in. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable.

Ate here with a group of 10 and had a wonderful brunch. I highly recommend the bacon bloody mary, the biscuits and gravy, the french toast (with a bacon crust). Good service, delicious food in a pleasant setting - hard to beat!

Loved their sandwiches especially the Betty Rock. No place close by to sit and eat but can drive to the Community Park by the Eel River. That is a good place to walk after eating, BTW.

Until recently Amillia's had been take-out only. Makes our experience less surprising when you know that up front. Excellent, excellent food. The chopped salad was a particular favorite, and the veggie stir-fry was flavorful if a little heavy on the sauce. Meanwhile, waitstaff seemed very...inexperienced (not knowing that we might want to hear the specials before we ordered, or taking a drink order first, etc.). A great local place overall; all the weaknesses are easily improved by experience.More

On a whim we ordered from Amillia's to-go menu and couldn't have been happier with our selection! Do yourself a favor and order the chile verde burrito, it was hands down one of the best and freshest made burritos we've ever had. Would go back...here in a heartbeat!More

I live 12 miles out of Garberville, and my lady and I usually eat out at Amillia's either Friday or Saturday night and sometimes we make Sunday brunch. The deli upstairs has fine take-out food, but the restaurant downstairs is our usual destination. Tivoli is...a fabulous waitress, and if I call 5 minutes ahead, the table is ready and so is the wine...(we usually go early). It can be a bit hard to find for out-of-towners (the parking lot just south of the large Rays Market), but worth a look. A limited menu, and all very, very good, including good vegetarian fare. The steak is fabulous as well, says my lady. Very clean place, and quiet. My favorite place to take guests from out of town.More

Garberville, CA is not the place you would expect to find a five star restaurant. But here it is, Amilla's ! Wonderful food, excellent service and a quaint setting. Cannot go wrong on any meal there. Only open on Friday and Saturday nights but make...the time. Do not miss this place. Ashely is an amazing waitperson.More

From the moment we got to the front door we were friendly greeting by Tivoli who also seated us immediately. We were told about the specials and given a menu & wine list. The food was Great & our server Ashley was right on top...of things. We are here for the first time from the bay area for a graduation. I consider Amillia's a real find...yum!More

Twelve of us had an amazing dinner. The service was great. Anyone in the Garberville be sure to have a meal at Amillas. Beth is a wonderful owner. Presentation was fantastic!!

This place serves dinner only on Friday and Saturday. There were few diners, but we were asked to wait several minutes while the harried waitress went back and forth from the dining room to the kitchen. When we were finally seated, we discovered that the...menu is tiny and odd and that the specials are expensive (e.g. pasta and meatballs $27). We ordered a vegetable sauté ($18) and pork loin ($22). The vegetable sauté consisted of a big pile of rice, a delicious sauce, and about 1/6th the vegetables in an $8.95 vegetable sauté at an Asian restaurant. The pork loin was dry and unseasoned. The room is pleasant and, as we were completing our meal, we were greeted by the charming proprietor. I hope this place rethinks its menu and price structure because it would be nice to sometimes eat at a place other than Cecil's when we stop in Garberville.More

As a frequent visitor to the Garberville area, I am always surprised by the lack of good restaurants serving dinner in town. So I was thrilled to hear that Amilllia’s, one of my fave lunch places, had started serving dinner a few days per week....The restaurant is downstairs from the bakery/to-go lunch counter and is in a large and soothingly decorated space, with deep colors and nice artwork. The servers are friendly and professional, and the entire vibe of the space is welcoming. I began my meal with the beet salad, and thoroughly enjoyed the local beets and cheese in this dish. The appetizer special was Asian Meatballs served over asian slaw - very savory and a nice-sized portion. For a main dish I tried the filet. Whatever butter mixture that was served over it was amazing! It melted in your mouth! For dessert, my companion and I shared the strawberry shortcake, made with a house-made sweet biscuit, local organic strawberries and the whipped cream that Amillias uses in their famous cakes-yummy! I will be back again and again!More
