Zipangu is located on the North East Corner of Shaw and West near a old taco bell location in a strip mall. It has gone down hill over the last few years, losing the Teppan chief and training a new one, The sushi is still...one of the BEST in town but the atmosphere and decor have not been updated since it opened. The place just needs some tender love and care from the owners to entice new clients must of the customer are loyal but to survive they are going to need new customers and a face lift. The sushi bar in the back is made to order, fresh and priced about right. The dragon roll and ahi tuna salad are wonderful.More

We used to go to this restaurant quite a bit, and then it closed down for a while. I am happy to say it is back open in doing a very good dinner once again. Ninja roll is a must try!

Food is actually pretty good, but restaurant decor is really bad and service not much better. Feel like restaurant is not finished inside, and they have big ugly signs hanging outside. They rushed to open this without looking at the place or hiring the right...people. I felt sorry for the server we had.More

For those of you who ever frequented Enshino Sushi (L.A.) back in its heyday, the same Sano, Master Sushi Chef is back here in Fresno! He is the real deal & knows his trade. Variety of fish & specialties. We suggest traditional method, sit down...& allow Sano to prepare for you!! We're here every weekend.More

The best food for timpanyaki. Good amount with enough for leftovers. Prices are good for what you are getting.👍

Miso soup was average, pot stickers soggy, bland, tasteless with no hot oil or vinegar to add. They served beer but no wine. I don't drink beer. Totally lacking any atmosphere. Place was dark, large, and empty. I won't go there again.

I've been there twice since it has reopened under the original chef. Not much has changed in the decor, but the qulaity of the food is much improved. The gyoza were a little stange, but the ramen and sushi were both excellent. The staff is...friendly and helpful.More

I have a young friend who thought this was a wonderful place, and since I live so close to it, I thought I'd try it. Big mistake! Terrible service, terrible food. It just pales in comparison to other Japanese restaurants in the area, and I'm...surprised that it's still in business. What's funny is that it's more expensive for mediocre servings.More

We were there on Aug 22, 2012. There were 7 of us to celebrate my daughters birthday. The waitress took 50 minutes to get us the miso soup and other 30 minutes for our fried rice, forgot our appetizers, only refilled our drinks once the...3 hours we were there. Finally brought out 5 dinners and forgot our utensils, then forgot the order of steam rice, then just disappeared on us. The service was teh WORST I have ever experienced and too bad it was on my daughter's 19th bday!. Did I mention our 3 order of sushi finally came after we got our dinner and the sushi chef didnt even make it at the sushi bar?? Finally when we ask her to bring the cake, she brought it out, no plates, provided then we waited another 25 minutes for that and realized there were no utensils by that time we all shared one napkin. We all bit our tongue trying to make her nite special. Finally we were dun and when the tab arrived, we saw the waitress more than when we needed her. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WANTING SUSHI, DINNER, OR TEMPANYAKI!!!!!!! They definitely did not care about the service!!!!!!More
