Our favorite for Japanese food. When we're in the Fresno area and in the mood for Japanese food this is the place ! We enjoy the lunch bento meal...usually with beef or chicken teriyaki...always good...shrimp and vegetable tempura prepared perfectly...and of course, their rice with a side of their spicy sweet sauce...it is excellent. Sushi is also excellent...great service...we try... More

It was a while we returned for California roll...we had their lunch special which was the only option as to what we eat. Teriyaki chicken, tempura veggies & shrimp, rice...ok for the price I guess...customer service was excellent

This is the place for Japanese food. What do you want, sushi ,traditional Japanese food, or Teppan-Yaki they have it all. With over 15 Tappan-Yaki stations the wait isn't very long. Food always tastes fresh and good. Service by Japanese men and women adds to the atmosphere.

Took my family there for my Mother's birthday. I made reservations for a table near the door because my sister is disabled and can't walk far, they said No problem. Whe we arrived for lunch at 1 we were seated fairly quickly however, it was the furthest table in the back of the restaurant! My sister was completely out of... More

We took the kids and our entire extended family here for a family lunch. The kids were impressed by our chef- he was not as flashy as some, but still fun. Everyone enjoyed their food- definitely huge portions for a lunch! Lots of butter was used in the cooking, so the leftovers were a little greasy the next day. Great... More

This is excellent restaurant for Sushi Bar, Variety Japanese cuisine menu in dining room,or at the entertaining Teppan-Yaki location. Food is served hot, with friendly helpful smile. If you're visiting Fresno come join the locals for authentic Japanese Dining.

I was in town visiting my grandma and she said she loves this place. She is originally from Tokyo. It was delicious. We went for lunch and had their bento lunch special. Tons of food! They don't lack in quality not quantity. When I go visit my grandma again I will be coming back!

One place I can always take my wife, and know for a fact that we will leave happy. The prices sadly make this only a special occasion spot, but definitely well worth it. They have so many options for your experience, it is difficult to decide which would be better. Probably best to try them all and see for yourself.

We visited Sakura Chaya this week for a family Birthday party. One of our members has a gluten allergy, so when we made our reservation we asked if they were able to at least make his dish in the kitchen, they were so nice, they said they could make our whole teppanyaki table gluten free if everyone was okay with... I live near this restaurant and it's always packed; parking lot completely full so cars are parking in the adjacent dirt area. I've went here a few times but left when told how long the wait is. Recently, a large group of my friends went and we made a reservation because we were a large group. We took 2 of... More
