My daughters took me here for my 69th birthday. All I can say is everything was absolutely perfect. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food was prepared as ordered. Loved every morsel. Did not tell the waitress or host we were there for my birthday, but the...hostess noticed my birthday cards on the table and sent over a free dessert. Will definitely be returning soon. Thanks to the entire staff for a fantastic evening.More

We have been here on a couple of occasions, all were great experiences. It is an upscale built place to have a relaxing quality dinner. They have a little bit of everything from steak to seafood. All the staff seems to be friendly. Not too...pricey, but not cheap either. The owner is a sweet lady and so accommodating!More

The Palms is my favorite restaurant in Fresno! Located at Palm and Alluvial, there is ample room in the parking lot. You walk in to an elegant entry way and an ambiance that beckons you. The choices are one more amazing than the other and...they will do it anyway that you like. The portions are generous and the appetizers are fantastic. The staff is gracious and more than willing and able to serve. They serve both lunch and dinner and I have had probably almost everything on the menu! The meeting room at Christmas time is gorgeous and where I would do my engagement party or special event. I just can't say enough as it really is excellent!More

I had my boyfriends surprise birthday party in their banquet hall, and I could not have asked for better accommodations! They were so willing to do whatever I asked of them, and were on top of everything during the event. I would recommend this place...for any party or gathering!More

Ate here with a colleague and vendor yesterday for lunch and it was perfect. The Palms is set up nicely for a business lunch or they have room for a much larger party both of which I’ve done at this restaurant. I had the salmon...kabob Greek salad yesterday and it was very nice. The service is good and the ambiance was perfect.More

The bar and restaurant were beautifully decorated and ready for Mother's Day Brunch 2018. A great selection on the menu and the Cranberry Mimosas were delicious. There are at least 3 different seating areas and one is perfect for a group. The grand piano was...not being played but was really a luxury to see in the eye catching bar. I need to hold this place as a venue for extra special celebrations. I would hate to have it sink to a regular hang out for me. A Super gracious staff and we were made to feel very honored.More

Or if you do, bring your earplugs. We had dinner with an old, dear — and softspoken — friend at this restaurant, which, if you Google it, is described as "an elegant destination for upscale American fare & a curated wine list in a sophisticated...space." That it may be — Monday through Thursday (it's closed on Sundays). The food and wine were delectable. What's the problem on Friday and Saturday? Well, the restaurant has employed a Paul Anka wannabe to sing and shout during dinner hours on those evenings. Somebody must have told them a fortissimo lounge singer in an elegant restaurant would add to the refinement. Anything but. This troubadour banged on the keyboard and sang at the top of his lungs (doubly excruciatingly thanks to overcranked amplication). So shrill was the intrusion that we heard about a third of what our dear friend had to say. THREE times we mentioned to our server that the volume should, please, pretty please, be lowered so guests who are there for the cuisine and ambience could think, hear their table mates, and enjoy the evening. Each time we were assured, quite pleasantly, that the manager was "working on it." Not very hard. The volume was never lowered, or if it was, just a half-twitch on the screech meter. The singer continued belting and banging, originally to a single guest at the bar, and by the time we departed, to about six people. We and other diners were reduced to bellowing at each other to be heard. So if your definition of a "sophisticated space" includes a superb restaurant where you can talk to your companions, this may it — on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. By foisting relentless foreground noise on their patrons, this otherwise appealing place ruined a night that we had hoped to cherish.More
