This restaurant is part of an Asian strip mall. We stopped for lunch and the food was well seasoned and very flavorful. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to near the Bay Area.

Went here during the weekend. Walked in around 6:30pm, there were two tables were empty. The woman behind the counter rudely yelled at us "those are reserved." So we turned around and walked out. You should not be in the restaurant business if you can't...even talk to customers without losing temper. I don't care how good your food is, if your service is like that, I won't go in there. And I will never go there again.More
Family gathered for a birthday dinner celebration at Shanghai Flavor last weekend. The restaurant is a personal favorite one of the family members who lives nearby. Many dishes were ordered and shared family style. The round tables have large lazy Susan's on each table, which...makes it easy to share various dishes without having to reach across the table. Among the dishes we enjoyed were: Spicy and Sour soup, Shanghai Style Veggies and Salted Pork rice, Noodles in onion sauce, Black Pepper Beef, and home made tofu. The restaurant permitted us to bring a birthday cake and provided dishes and forks for the cake. I almost forgot to mention there was fried fish. I did not get to sample it because our seven-year-old nephew polished off most of it.More
We were hungry and pulled into the Marina shopping center on Warm Springs Boulevard in Fremont. It's a strip mall and has several dining options. Having recently returned from Shanghai, we decided to give Shanghai Flavor a try. The restaurant is small and by the...time we had finished dinner at about 6:30 on a Saturday night it was full. It was a good sign when we saw only chop sticks on the table. Service was very attentive and our order was quickly taken. We had the Braised Pork Upper Leg with brown sauce and the Broccoli Beef. Broccoli Beef came piled high with fresh steamed broccoli. The Braised Pork was a very large pork shank served atop bok choy. Complementary salted peanuts and green tea. We needed a "doggy bag" for the leftovers, so much good food. Food came quickly and it was under $35 for two with the tip.More
