We came up north to visit my daughter. Overall the food here is much more expensive than Los Angeles 99 ranch market. You can get baby bok Choy sum for $.79/ lb in LA ; here it is $1.29. Bitter melon $.79/lb versus $1.39. I found the Produce to be fresh. The meat counter has smaller selection. The rack of... More

In my neighborhood and my first choice for fresh seafood to cook and a variety of vegetables at reasonable prices. Produce isn't always fully ripe, but it's always fresh and inexpensive. Fish and seafood are quite fresh and of large variety. They will clean and cook it for you too. Not always inexpensive on fish, but certainly far less than... More

Get there early when they put the dim sum out. It can sit a long while. Very good when fresh. Same is true of the buffets good variety, but can be tricky.

The food is very ethnic and the prices are a bit on the high side. The employees are not very helpful.

The prices for dim sum are very reasonable. I would say the quality and tastes could be higher, even at the low prices. I would still go back if I lacked new options. I would have liked to have driven to Good Luck in San Francisco, but it was too far to go.

The supermarket has a good variety of Asian products for those special Asian recipes. Lighting is bad in some of the aisles so reading the small print on the labels can be difficult. Vegetables are usually fresh and nicely priced. I find the "food court" way too expensive. I rather go to Rickshaws on Edgewater where it is cheaper and... More

Ranch 99 market is a Chinese grocery store. Pleae do not confuse it with a 99 cents or dollar store. It is a decent Chinese grocery store, with a good selection of vegetable and oriental sauce and snack. The meat section is not as fresh as the beef of pork you get from Safeway. Because they cut meat at the... More

This food court provides many kinds of chinese deli. My favorite is roast pork. Sometimes I buy combo as lunch. It's too much for me, and I can eat as two meals. It's better to combine coupon to pay as well as cash, so it's inexpensive. The cashier is nice, except that I don't see much smile on her face.
