I was surprised when we got here after being directed here as a great Mexican place that they seemed to be more American-Mexican than authentic Mexican. No traditional Mexican meats (chorizo, etc), and the same red sauce went on every item I ordered no matter what it was. The food was good but I was so very underwhelmed by the... More

We asked the clerk at our motel where to find good Mexican food and she recommended this place. Said all the locals like to go there. Very busy, very quick, excellent food.

If you truly want excellent Mexica food along the coast between Jenner and Fort Bragg this is the place to eat. Well worth the drive. Hidden in the back of a strip mall.

Well it says on the web review by one person "best little hole I the wall." It's true only seats maybe 45 we waited outside for a table, the smellavision was almost a meal on its own! I had Camarones Ranchero fresh from the boat shrimp. My wife had what she described as the best cheese enchilada, and fresh avocado... More

Would never have stopped here if I hadn't read good reviews. Don't go for decor or ambience. But for friendly staff and VERY good food, make a visit! Noticed a lot of locals, which is always a good sign.

We visited this restaurant for dinner. There are nine tables and we had to wait a few minutes, but not too long. Once we ordered it took a long time to get our food. The dinner was ok, but nothing to get excited about. The place is very Spartan. We don't plan to return.

I feel bad not giving it a better rating but I just didn't find the food worth a better then average rating. I will say though that the staff was very accommodating and efficient. Good service.

Delicious! We ate there twice during our short stay. I don't recommend the chicken-it was dry and flavorless, however the steak and marinated pork were amazing. Service was very friendly. They accept cash only.

Local, family run Mexican restaurant. Really good food! I had a wonderful Tamale, with fabulous mesa, tender meat, and a really nice sauce over the top, that accented the tamale, didn't overpower it. I only wish the tamale had more meat in it, but it's still a must have. I also had a Sopa, that too was really good, maybe... More

This unassuming and small diner was a treat. Reasonably priced and authentic food. Order a beer and go get it yourself from the cooler. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. We went early and were able to be seated right away. Bring cash or check, no credit cards accepted.
