We tried their new lunch hours. Walk back along the garden path until you almost reach the pool. To the left you see the outdoor pizza oven, and head inside or patio area. It was hot, so we ate in the small indoor area. Predominately,...a veggie inspired menu with sandwiches, pizzas, salads and specialty items. We had watermelon salad and pizza with a little spiced ground lamb and several slices veggies. Stop by the oven and watch pizza person put it all together. The crust is the star. Service and environment excellent. Well worth a destination visit.More

I want to begin by saying I had been hesitant to return once they lost their long time Chef and star. I can most definitely say that if you have felt the same way, run, don’t walk to grab a reservation while you still can....Their new chef, Jackson Clark, worked as the Sous Chef at Farmhouse for many years while they had their Michelin Star and has returned to bring back the fine dining experience to Farmhouse Inn. I am confident that this restaurant will receive this accolade again. The dishes are thoughtful, beautifully presented and delicious. The foie gras and gnocchi were stand out but everything kept us wanting another bite. The wine pairings were creative and on point. They have a wonderful wine list as well should you prefer a bottle instead. We had the land and sea side of the menu, but the garden (vegetarian) side looked wonderful as well. This restaurant is back on my top of Wine Country list! Coming from someone on the Napa side of the valley, that says a lot…More

Oh gosh this restaurant is wonderful. It will get a Michelin star again, I am sure. All fresh and wonderful farm to table. Bread, made on site, was perfect. Dessert- so creative and perfect. Wine pairings were excellent and just the right size pour. Meat...and fish perfect. Gnocchi best ever! Complements to the chef, Jackson Clark I believe. Thank you all for a most memorable dinner.More

The fine dining restaurant is closed and they aren’t being clear about it. If you make a reservation it will be for their farm to table bistro experience. Nothing like the fine dining restaurant. I had a reservation in April for my birthday for the...restaurant and if I had showed up , I would have found the restaurant closed. I only knew this because I went to the website to look at the menu. When I called they told me I had been notified by email. This was not true. I also still had the RESY reservation which had been “transferred” over to the Farmstand alternative. My restaurant reservation had NOT been canceled. This kind of behavior is not at all consistent with this restaurants reputation. Beware!More

First let me say that the service was excellent. Sadly the overrated Thanksgiving dinner was no where near a Michelin Star 🌟 quality. If you're going to charge $200 per person plus tax plus gratuity, you may want to inform your patrons beforehand. Never again....I'd give the Farmhouse 1 star if it weren't for the service. The chef must have taken the Michelin Star with him back in 2017.More

We had one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time here. We’ve been traveling the world and this is definitely is one of the best. Fine and creative, beautiful, food presentation with great tastes. For those wine lovers there is much to...appreciate here. The service was casual but excellent and the servers knowledgeable and accommodating. A definite restaurant to return to.More

This review is about the restaurant only. It is very pretentious but lovely in decor. The food was okay and was acceptable but for the price. The staff was great and very friendly. We have been to other Michelin restaurants which were much more memorable....We were celebrating our anniversary so they gave us a scroll of the menu. What???? Not even a truffle?? We will not return....John Ash Restaurant here we come!!More

On a recent trip to Sonoma, my wife and I had dinner one night at Farmhouse Inn, and it was truly an exemplary experience. From the cute ambiance to the excellent food, this restaurant is well deserving of its Michelin star and is absolutely a...restaurant that we’d return to. We thought the Farmhouse Inn as a whole was so cute that we really wished we had chosen to stay overnight there, rather than where we were in Healdsburg. Only outdoor dining was offered when we visited, which was perfect because the outdoor garden/patio area could not have been nicer. There were pretty lights strung up, along with plenty of heaters available when it got chilly later in the evening. The historic farmhouse that houses the interior of the restaurant looked really nice too, but we were very happy with dinner outside, which was a little more casual and relaxed. The Farmhouse Inn dinner menu offers two starter courses, main course, and dessert, and each person chooses how many of these courses they’d like to try. We both went for the basic three course menu for $99, which entitled us to choose one item from either the first or second courses, a main course, and a dessert. The meal started with an amuse bouche, which was a small tasting of a gazpacho that was good. For the first course following that, I had the ahi tuna tartare, while my wife had a soup. We both enjoyed that course and I thought the tuna was particularly good, with some really nice Asian accompaniments that added to the flavor. For the main course, I had the New York sirloin, while my wife had the Alaskan halibut. Again, both items were delicious. The steak was one of the best I have had in a long time, and was prepared perfectly. My wife’s fish was also great, with a very nice potato crust on it that added good flavor. For dessert, I had the cheese course, while my wife had the chocolate soufflé. The cheese course was huge (easily could have been split between the two of us), and had a good assortment of cheeses. The soufflé was also perfectly delicious, and brought over with a candle to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We really enjoyed everything. Wine pairings were offered for $79 per person. I chose to do the wine pairings, but somewhat regretted that decision. I know that wine pairings at restaurants aren’t usually getting you the most amazing wines, but I thought the selections here were just weird. Being in Sonoma, you’d think they’d want to showcase some really good local producers, but I felt like half the wines were from regions I hadn’t heard of or wouldn’t have expected, and I didn’t necessarily think any of them stood out as being particularly great with the food itself. The sommelier was nice, and I enjoyed the wine well enough, but I just don’t think it was worth the cost for me. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the meal, and service was good throughout. There was a pretty large team of people helping with service, including our head waiter, and several assistants/runners. Everyone was really nice and very attentive. Our main waiter wasn’t really around as much as I would have expected, but we generally had everything we needed. There was just one time that service slipped a little, when my wife asked for a refill of iced tea and it didn’t come after waiting a long time, so we had to ask again. If the main waiter had been a little more present, I don’t think that would have slipped through the cracks. Overall, we had a really nice night when we had dinner at Farmhouse Inn. I like that the restaurant is relatively casual and cute, but has really tasty, well-prepared food. They know what they’re doing and execute it well. Everything we had for dinner was really delicious, so we’d love to come back in the future.More

Amazing experience. There were 4 of us: excellent salad, octopus, fish, chocolate dessert. The wine pairing was a good experience as the wines were chosen to go with the food and not wines I would have ever ordered.

This is a memorable meal in a beautiful setting. Everything is out in the garden area now due to COVID. Several of our party had the tasting menu with wine pairings - unusual varietals we would likely never find and never pair with this food...but it worked.More

We had the $99 per couple meal plus one "cheap" bottle of wine at $ 120 but somehow the bill was $800 for 4 people. Food was barely above average NOTHING spectacular and nothing Michelin quality. Service was good but again not Michelin quality. I...consider the meal and experience a complete flop and total waste of money...would have been better off at a local pizza joint or home.More

First, the Farmhouse Inn is incredible and the staff is fantastic. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, dinner at the restaurant fell way short of its Michelin Star billing. The service was disjointed at best and the food was very average. I hope...that we simply visited on an off night for the kitchen, which can happen. That said, this level of restaurant should never have a night as off as what we experienced. Note: Breakfast the next morning was absolutely stellar and the service was fantastic. I would definitely east breakfast there again, but will save the $400 plus to spend on dinner elsewhere.More

Have not been to the French Laundry since Don and Sally Schmidt owned it over 20 years ago, but whatever the Farmhouse Inn has on its menu, rest assured they will do as good a job at a much more reasonable price.
