Nicely priced interesting and healthy food. The place looks like a little hole in the wall and has very little inside seating. The outside was comfortable. It seems the the cook is the husband and the waitress and dessert maker is the wife of the...couple who own the place. Local, friendly and seasonal food. It is only open for breakfast and lunch.More

Tried this little eatery in Forestville for the first time on one of our Sonoma Valley wine weekends. Lovely couple running this small restaurant with quaint, nicely maintained, lush patio seating and done indoor countertop seating. Hunger inducing aromas of garlic and spices wafting from...the kitchen as I walk to the washroom. The Cajun Meatloaf Sandwich was very good. Full of flavor. Nicely toasted and grilled soft roll too. Also tried the Chicken Fried Chicken served over a garlicky, light cream pasta. Chicken had good flavor, but the batter/coating didn't have the best consistency and didn't really hold together well. Pasta was perfectly al dente just the way I like it. Next time, I'll probably try the pick 3 lunch combo with their Rotisserie Chicken instead.More

This place was perfect for lunch. It’s rare to find a Restaurant with organic food so five stars for having local healthy produce. The owners, who appeared to also be chef and server, were delightful and provided excellent service and delicious food. I had the...trio plate...a choice of 3 of several items. My green beans, beet salad and chicken, all with wonderful spices and additions, were very tasty, exceptionally good and satisfying. Portions were generous. The place is very casual, but also sweet little touches like flowers from their garden on each table. I’m glad to have tried the Twist and look forward to going back soon.More

We stopped by for lunch after a hike in the Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve. And we found the food fresh and delicious, the service friendly, personable and authentic. We had the quiche lorraine with salad and the Trio of vegetables as main courses followed by...a French press coffee, a warm chocolate chip cookie and a mini lemon tarte. We sat outside on the patio which also accommodates dogs which receive water and a treat.More

We had a late lunch at Twist, we were not disappointed. The special was steak over fried potatoes which my husband got. The Gorgonzola sauce was perfect! I ordered the chicken fried chicken off the menu. This was very tasty served over penne with chard....The sauce was superb. The owner waited on us and she was delightful. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the afternoon. We call this meal “Linner”. Late lunch early dinner. This restaurant closes at 4 pm due to residential restrictions.More

Thank you for the lovely review. I remember you talked about Linner. You sat at the corner table in the back. We're glad you liked everything. I think the gorgonzola sauce is drinkable or at least scarfable with bread. It is one of my favorites....More

Actually that's what I usually order. 'the Bomb' a meatloaf sandwich with melted cheese and a Cajun kick (add bacon to mine please) and a side salad - I like the beet salad. The food is consistently good and the specials are really tempting. This...is a very, very small place and part of the charm is that you meet the owners as they are the ones cooking and serving you. It's not inexpensive, but I've always felt that eating at Twist is a really good value due to the generous portions and excellence of the food.More
