My family has lived in Folsom for over 20 years and we want to support our local downtown businesses especially during these times. We ordered the regular burrito with grilled chicken. I think they might have gotten the order mixed up as the chicken tasted...like it was boiled. The burrito was just ok. We also ordered the beef quesadilla. This was a disappointment. There was just meat and cheese and not much of it-it seemed dry. A good quesadilla has a buttery tortilla outside but this was dry. It needed a salsa, sour cream, guacamole or something else to give it a lift. Also the service was not all that great. Not rude but not friendly. I hope the owner is reads this post. We want Folsom businesses to succeed but if you do not give the customers a reason to return(great food and great service) we will go elsewhere. One last thing about customer service, if the owners/managers coached their employees this important fact: The reason that the employee is able to pay their phone/mortgage/rent etc bills is because of the customer. They are the reason you are in business. Be excited to see the customer, engage them and go out of your way to make a memorable experience.More

We judged that by how hostess and owner Rosario greeted old friends and new customers as they came in. A relative newcomer in town, she and partner Paul have already garnered several media mentions framed on the wall. The food is simple and well prepared...with a wide variety of meats and veggies. The ambience is colorful and relaxed kitschy-Mex. The quesadillas carnitas were delicious and inexpensive at $4.95. My friend and I each had an imported beer and ate for $18. After a week in Sacramento, it was a pleasure to dine in the hinterlands. Folsom is a very cool place and this taqueria is a must for visitors. Highly rated! - Bob from CTMore

I ordered the fish tacos and didn't think very much of them. I have heard that the food is really really good at 2 am after drinking.

We went here one night when there was music on the Folsom stage a block away. The service was quick. The food warm and delicious. The price was under $5 for 2 street tacos. I'll be back!

Someday I will make an effort to order something other than the super carnitas burrito, with the amazing green sauce, but not today...……….. They are positively wonderful!!!! Eat in, on the sidewalk or get them today - and don't forget the chips!

There is something different about the food at this restaurant and I mean this in a very good way. My wife had the Chile verde chicken burrito and I had a bowl of the freshly made Pozole. Both of these dishes were so tasty that...I felt to be on vacation in Mexico. The owner and her staff are very welcoming and with the restaurant situated in old town Folsom the setting is fun. The portions are generous and there is no feel of a fast food joint. We sat at a tall table outside and for nearly an hour just enjoyed ourselves. There is no question we will return......More

Great tortillas in the street tacos, with generous meat serving and choice of sauces. Vegetable burrito was wonderful. Friendly staff. Cleanest public restroom I've encountered in many years of traveling. Enjoy!

Owner is very nice and explained all the details about some unique menu items which we didn't see at other mexican places. I will surely recommend there chicken...burrito and tacos. For my $ this is the best Mexican food in Folsom. I get the Chile Verde Burrito Combo Burrito (with everything). I like their street tacos a lot and get them during their happy hour.

I ordered a super fish burrito and it was awesome. Tons of mahi-mahi and all sorts of other great stuff. The place is simple but the food is excellent and fresh.

We really enjoyed the food! The tacos were soft (not fried--yay!) and full of flavor. I had the shredded chicken and the carnitas, both grande style. My husband had the grilled chicken & mahi mahi tacos and said they were tasty. He liked the grilled...chicken flavor more than my shredded chicken. Our girls had burritos and said they were delicious, too. Not only was the food delicious, but the people who work there are so kind and genuine. I love supporting businesses with great workers and delicious food! Definitely will be back. :)More

Very full burritos, not all rice like some places. It was worth the extra $2 for the Grande which includes guacamole and sour cream an extra fillings. Many types of meat to include.
