There wasn't a lot of traffic for lunch on a cool, cloudy Friday but the oysters were fresh, large and delicious. A salad was also quite good. More slow paced but still casual dining in Ferndale than Mexican or pizza places.
Spending time in the Eureka area it is always challenging for us to find a truly great meal. As we visited Ferndale recently we stumbled upon a truly amazing Inn and Restaurant, the "Victoria Inn". The staff was amazing, the owner pleasant and helpful as...More
We were in Ferndale for the first time in the fall of 2015, staying at the Ginngerbread Mansion, when we had our first meal at the Victorian Inn. We loved that one so much, that we ate most of our meals there, (except breakfast, which...More
We did all our eating and drinking in the lounge. The bar food and restaurant food comes from the same kitchen and chefs. We loved the bar because it is a cozy local bar full of friendly residents and travelers and wait staff. The bar...More
We stayed overnight in the hotel, and decided to have dinner in the restaurant. Chose the chef's special and were very pleased. Our waitress was friendly, efficient, and full of suggestions. Very pleased with our choices (restaurant & food), and followed a recommendation in the...More

This is a delightful old Victorian setting for dining. We stopped in for dinner, but some dishes are pretty heavy on the garlic (Caesar Salad and the clam chowder). We don’t mind a good dose of garlic, but that will not be the choice for...More
As the title says, Brandy who was the bartender and our waitress was brilliant, she was extremely intuitive as and when we needed anything. Food was really good, wine selection and cocktails were fantastic.

My suggestion to be on the safe side is to call the restaurant in advance to see. Victorian Inn (VI) Restaurant in Ferndale, CA. Just do a search for the phone number and give them a call. Ferndale is a small town and this is also a hotel, so they may be open to serve holiday meals.
