I love BBQ and grills and the simple yet delicious food they offer... I used to travel to Texas for work quite a bit and I have great memories of pulled pork, sausages, ribs, briskets... On paper, this place offers all the classics... but it...is just bad... really bad The pulled pork was way too sweet, the ribs (25$) were dry to the point you couldn't chew them... the sauces tasted industrial.... Even the bloody Mary was diluted with a strange after taste and we didn't finish them... the only positive things in our lunch were the local draft beer and the friendly service...More

Stopped off here for a sex on the beach cocktail and Gin, the cocktail looked nothing like a sex on the beach cocktail it was dark brown in colour, and it definitely tasted nothing like a sex on the beach cocktail.

We visited towards the end of our 2 week holiday and this was definitely the best food we had eaten. The mini ribs were succulent and juicy, the sauce on the prawns delicious. Accompanied by a freshly prepared salad and the best beans ever! A...slice of cornbread to mop up the juices….sorted! Friendly and efficient staff in pleasant surroundings that had a really cheery buzz. If you’re camping in the area do not overlook this place…amazing!!More

This place has gone down a notch or two . . . been enjoying the Cowboy for 20 years, but last night . . . won't go back. The fact that they won't bring back Bill on a Hill "because of Covid" seriously? Substitute the...buffalo burger for a regular beef, but their staff (cook) refuses to make garlic mashed potatoes? We used to go for their garlic mashed potatoes, Yam Cakes & cornbread, but last night noticed the Yam Cakes have been reduced in size by almost half. WTF! Even the cornbread was not lathered in butter before frying, but dry & over- browned. When you notice the table next to you has picked at their cornbread and left most of it on their plate when they left . . . something is wrong! My husband's med-rare burger was not pink and tasteless. Come on Cowboy Diner step it UP . . . potatoes, yams and cornbread are cheap ingredientsMore

Casual restaurant with a good changing menu. Not just burger and fries. Much more interesting options. Friendly service.

The food is very good. Mostly burgers, sandwiches, wings, etc. There is one steak on the menu. I didn't have it, so can't comment on it. Outside seating under the trees is very nice, if weather permits.

The wife and I were driving through Felton for the first time, so we asked the locals where is a good place to eat, they recommended this restaurant. We arrived there, got our table right away, ordered drinks and our food. Although they have very...complete menu, we ordered off of the specials menu. The food and a service here is excellent, we recommend this restaurant. There is limited indoor dining, but the outdoor dining is fantastic in a forest setting, very relaxing.More

Fabulous Food and Friendly Service. My friend and I sat on the patio and shared the pork fries and the Philly cheese steak. Plenty of food- enough for a cowboy. Had locally brewed cider - my favorite! Yum score was a 10!

You could drive right by it as you enjoy the redwoods along scenic Hwy 9. We turned around and were glad we did. Seating was a little awkward as the restaurants are opening back up with distance limits but we got seated right away. A...simple Covid paper menu did the job and we found a nice meal. I ordered the BBQ chicken quesadilla and my wife ordered the Hombre burger with Gorgonzola cheese & grilled onions. The fries were very tasty and the burger very good but couldn’t snap a picture before she had it half eaten. My quesadilla was really tasty and it came with this white sauce on the side that was really magic. Some kind of ranch and dill mixture that really complimented the flavor of the quesadilla.More

Fresh, deliciously prepared food. Owner/chef Jim is always creating new special dishes, and the servers provide friendliness to add to a beautiful setting under the trees. We have been customers for over 10 years and the food and drinks are consistently good. Best chicken wings...around (crispy, juicy, not the typical Buffalo, although they have those), burgers cooked to order, corn bread to die for. Super fresh salads with variety, and right now a delish shrimp dish in the shells. Smoked ribs and pulled pork soooo delicious, and all dishes have generous portions. Can’t go wrong at this place.More

We somehow heard about this place, and decided to have lunch under the trees on a nice Fall day. Ambiance, service, and most of the food was very good. They are doing a great job with the virus situation. Mostly BBQ but also have some...interesting small plates, and a good selection of local draught beers. BRING A BLANKET most any time, as it is chilly, even with the patio heaters. We will be back!More

Such a beautiful location. SUPER dog-friendly (not just dog tolerant like some places). And the food is consistently good. Nightly specials keep it fresh and interesting. Fave's are Fire in the Whole wings, James Gang, True Grit (Ranch steak settled in a pool of gorgonzola...cream sauce).More

My tastebuds are still dancing! I loved this place. My hubby and I passed the Cowboy grill on the way to the RV park and the wonderful smell of smokey BBQ filled the air. We knew we had to come the next day. It's got...a dog friendly patio with lots of seating, shade and nice views of the trees and beautiful plants. We went for an early dinner on a Tuesday and there weren't too many people there. Our server was really friendly and helped me decide between two meal options. Man was she right when she said go with the Nasty Ned!! I'm gonna dream about that meal! There were so many layers of flavor to the Ned and it all works! They grilled the cornbread and the shredded BBQ pork was really tender. The sweet & spicy jalapeño glaze with cilantro is just Wow! Even the beans and garlic mashed taters were really good and full of flavor. I had the other half for lunch the next day and it was just as amazing reheated! Now I know why a lot of reviewers loved the pulled pork fries since it's the same thing as the Nasty Ned but with fries versus cornbread. It is truly amazing! My hubby really enjoyed his Pearl Hart meal which was a Tri-tip steak (he opted for no Gorgonzola cream sauce). He said it was really flavorful, tender and cooked to perfection. He had the same two sides and cornbread which he loved as much as I did. I may just have to move to Felton (I wish!) just so I can become a regular!! If you find yourself anywhere near here you gotta stop in and give it a try!!More
