Had take out but took me back to my Peace Corps days in the Caribbean. Delicious food with those rich island flavors. The grilled fish is amazing as well as the curried veggies, grilled shrimp, etc. My son's "go to" place when he's in town as well as my resident daughters. I'll be back!

We enjoyed out meal. We are not that familiar with Jamaican food preparation but found everything to be very enjoyable. But the presentation really needs a lot of work. Very interesting spicing; it's fun to have a unique taste experience. We were just traveling through but if we lived here we would return. The owner is very accommodating.

Delicious Caribbean food! What a treat to have found this place while driving through. We had the jerk chicken with rice and peas, as well as the fish and chips. The jerk chicken was flavorful and had a perfect delicious char on it. The rice and peas were tasty. The fish and chips were cooked well but the seasoning was a wonderful surprise. Unfortunately, the pieces were pretty greasy and some of the batter wasn’t fully cooked through which mostly bothered me because it was so good I wanted to eat every bite of it. The portions were generous and the service was friendly. Do yourself the favor of having a delicious meal and stop by A Taste of Bim.

Sadly, I was highly disappointed with a meal I got to go recently from A Taste of Bim. Normally, I don't write many bad reviews. It had been a while since we ate there. We used to like "A Taste of Bim", but no longer. My order to go was supposed to be Jerk chicken, but it was tasteless and the juice from the tasteless vegetables made the mashed potatoes and the chicken soggy. They only have to-go orders at this time (Covid). There was NO Jerk flavor and NO spices. Everything on the plate was soggy and tasteless. Since the lady said: "That is how we serve it to everyone" and she offered no apology, I will never be returning. There is a new Jerk place in town that actually tastes like delicious Jerk flavor with the tender and flavorful dark meat, and it is not all runny with liquids in the to-go box. With all the delicious restaurants in town to choose from, who wants a plate full of soggy food?

We decided to try A Taste of Bim for something a little different. It's got a mostly Caribbean menu based on the heritage of the owner. It's also nice to see local businesses do well. We had dinner at about 7 on a Friday. They weren't busy (there was a festival taking place a few blocks away with lots of food trucks). We found that a few things were a little strange. There are no straws for drinks or sugar to sweeten tea/coffee. Our dinners came with salad, which was served in one bowl (for both of us) with the entrees. They were out of jerk chicken, which would seem like a staple. My wife had grilled fish......she said it was a little over cooked. I had the whole roasted fish. It was covered with a sauce that was really good; however, I'm not sure it was trimmed properly. I have had whole fish entrees dozens of times and expect to find bones. In this dish, I found bones but also what appeared to be gills or fins. They were hard to find under the sauce. This made it a little hard to eat. Our server was good and we found the prices to be reasonable.

I enjoyed the casual vibe to this Caribbean restaurant. It seems a family restaurant, you order and pay then your food is delivered to the counter and you bring to your table, clearing at the end of your meal. The food is amazing. I chose the classic Jerk Chicken with some fried plantains added and took half my plate home. Really great food.

This is a place to come to experience new flavors. The food is amazing. We all shared and sampled plantains, goat, rice, chickpeas, “a double”- a flat, fried bread thing, hibiscus tea, grilled Mahi Mahi. All so yummy in my tummy. ; ) Definitely come to this restaurant if you are traveling through Humboldt. Prepare to relax- not a place if you want fast food/service and are in a hurry to your next destination. : )

Delicious healthy flavorful home-cooked Jamaican food in a casual atmosphere for a reasonable price. Yum! Will return when next in Eureka.

Drove from Arcata because Caribbean restaurants are hard to find in Upstate NY. Lovely family owned restaurant that is warm and welcoming. 8 local craft beers and hyper local wines from Old Growth Cellars. The Cod Fritters, jerk chicken wings, chicken Roti and Jamaican beef Patty were all outstanding! Sorry there are no photos, dove into the food as it came out😊. Next visit to NoCal will include this restaurant.

The place was recommended by our local hotel staff. This is Carabean style food and it is reall tasty. There is a parking lot opposite the front of the place. There is an open kitchen so you can see the chefs as they prepare the various selections. They also stock Red Stripe Beer, a Carabean favorite. We started with the jerk chicken wings as an appitizer - delicious. The main courses were shrimp, and a blackened salmon dish that was really delightful. We truly enjoyed our meals and fully recommend this place.

We stopped here as we spent the night in town on our road trip. Food was good and our server Johnnie was great! Although Caribbean food is better on the East Coast this place fit the bill. Recommend this spot if anyone is in the area.

We stopped here for dinner on a Friday night, not too buy got a seat right away. First impressions was how clean it is, alot of time these small out of the way restaurants can be a bit dark and dirty but this was lovely and bright and clean. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who was quick to serve us and very helpful explaining the menu items. Prices are very reasonable, food was fantastically flavorful but not spicy hot. We had jerk wings, smashed fish and jerk ribs. All were very original and very good. A nice change from the burger, Mexican, Chinese restaurants that litter the country, and don't worry it's not spicy hot.

Interesting food. We tried the fish tacos (I recommend them, really good) and the appetizer platter (good but not fantastic), with the fresh ginger tea (also very good). Not expensive and funny.

We decided to skip the usual boring brewery food & come here for something exciting & different. We ordered the lemonade because it was mentioned in so many other reviews. So delicious & like nothing we'd ever tasted! The macaroni pie was really good, fried plantains were excellent, dipping sauces great, jerk wings were great. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to the coast!
