We found this restaurant on Yelp, and while they didn't have any more reservations left, we were able to pick up food and take it back to our hotel. The food was outstanding - including pasta, pizza and seafood (tuna). Lots of fantastic options on...the menu, and it was all still hot when we got back to our hotel. Was very impressed!More

Found this on yelp while driving through town. Cute restaurant in average neighborhood. Good wine list. Food was good. Several local draft beer options.

My wife i stopped here as we passed through and boy were we happy with our choice. Tina was AWESOME...friendly, prompt, professional. Now the food. Started with grilled romaine and stone fire potatoes. Excellent, wished it had second piece of bread with the romaine. Potatoes...were flavorful and delicious. Main course was mushroom cobbler which my wife scoffed at before we got there but she loved it...surprised she didn't order one to go. I had the pizza which was 5 star. Fresh and flavorful. French press coffee, homemade tea and wine rounded out dinner. Homemade chocolate truffle was smooth, rich and the perfect ending. Thanks again for your patience and excellent service.More

Heading home To Boonville from vacation in Trinidad, stopped to check out Eureka. Consulted Trip Advisor for a dinner recommendation. Chose Brick & Fire and was pleasantly surprised. We followed Google map directions to residential neighborhood and found this little bistro on a side street,...with tables on the sidewalk, and no indoor service due to Covid of course. The menu was interesting. Different twists on traditional items. So I had to try the wood fired oven polenta lasagna. Eggplant and mushrooms layered between 2 slices of The most delicious polenta I’ve ever tasted. My husband had the Kobe beef meatballs with that outstanding polenta. Both dishes were served with a perfectly seasoned thick marinara sauce which tasted Like it was made with fresh tomatoes. We also ordered the Caesar salad which was half of a head of romaine lettuce cut lengthwise down the middle and grilled. It was drizzled with a traditional tasting Caesar vinaigrette and included a small panna cotta of parmesan cheese topped with anchovies. Another unusual twist on a conventional dish that was delicious. The housemade desserts we tried were the chocolate cheesecake with a mascarpone topping and the salted caramel and Kentucky bourbon ice cream which included a crispy chocolate chip cookie. Both desserts were scrumptious. They had a large list of very interesting wines by theglass. I tried a tasty local grenache that paired perfectly with the meal. We look forward to taking another road trip soon, this time to explore the bay trails of Eureka and Arcata and return for another perfect dinner at this great bistro with excellent, friendly service.More

Everything we ate was delicious, and the wood fire oven added to the magic, but the lunch menu was tiny, and simple. Also the prices could be lower.

Recommended by our hotel and really enjoyed the food. I had the brick bird which is a small whole chicken cooked in the oven with a light sauce added and flavored rice. It was delicious and interesting flavors. My wife had pizza which again was...a very good Italian style brick oven pizzaMore
