My favorite place in Eureka for pizza; we live here and eat here a lot. It’s a nice causal place to eat and the very many beer choices will make you feel like a kid in a candy store. The people are great and they...make you feel at home. If you’re in Eureka and looking for great food and great beer, this is the place to go.More
We ordered take out pizza, which was good and at a very reasonable price. It wasn't greasy, or falling apart from too much cheese, and the crust was thin. It had fresh basil in top that was nice. The pineapple was honestly in too large...of chunks, half the size would been sufficient. We enjoyed our dinner and working nights in old town will probably return.More
We were visiting/staying in Eureka to move our daughter in at Humboldt State University.
Someone at the Black Faun Gallery told us about this place as being vegan friendly
It did not disappoint! Fun friendly atmosphere with art, music and games for families/kids.
We had...the magic mushroom pizza with pesto sauce! Yummmm
We went there 3 times during our 6 days in town!
The staff is very friendly and attentive
We’re definitely going back next time we’re in EurekaMore
We stumbled over an A frame sign in the pedestrian part of town...which lead us to the Pizza mecca of Eureka that is Madrone.
I ordered my usual safe pepperoni mushroom chillies on half....My lovely wife the Redwood margarita.
Mine was delicious. JUST THE TICKET...for a hungry bear on a road trip thru the Redwoods.
The place is roomy and could do with a bit more decor....but pizza is wonderful.More
Saw Madrone listed on Tripadvisor's list of local restaurants. Liked the concept and menu shared online and the Facebook page that indicated it is a young couple's dream family business and decided to give it a try. My lady ordered the all meat pizza and...I did a 'build your own' with basil, sun-dried tomatoes, and prosciutto. She gave two thumbs up and mine was simply delicious. She also was pleased with her glass of cabernet and after being offered some samplers I chose the Campfire Stout. Three glasses later I approved. They were not busy on a Wednesday night and our food was served in an average time for good pizza. Drinks were refreshed when we would signal from across the room. The leisurely pace allowed for some conversation with the owner and a promise that we would be loyal customers. While the wall coverings are relatively sparse the nature of the business will fill them up over time. The custom wood bar and tables are indeed beautiful works of art. Very reasonable prices for both the pizza and spirits - 2 pizzas and 3 drinks each and out of there for $50. Can't beat that in Old Town Eureka. If you like brick fired pizza and enjoy a wide selection of crafted beers you can't find everywhere else in Humboldt - give this place a try. We will be returning often.More
