If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and go. The tea room is charming and the food is presented with flair. We just attended the most delightful evening of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. A full night of entertainment and more than your money's worth! Go for lunch with the girls or like I did...a romantic afternoon... More

This is an adorable tea house/room. It is decorated Victorian style and is so quaint. The staff is friendly and the food divine and of course delicious teas! They offer plays and teas at certain times of the year. A great tea experience!

Went to the Grand Tea Room for a baby shower last weekend. It was such a lovely little establishment. You walk into the front door which puts you in the gift shop. Soooo many cute trinkets!! I bought the prettiest little tea set & a delicious creme brûlée tea. A bit pricey, but worth it. Our two hour tea/baby shower... More

We recently attended the Downton Abbey themed tea day and it was a delightful experience to celebrate my Mother's birthday. We had a really good time. There was great effort put into the day by the staff. The food is all miniature finger sized dishes and really did taste great. I can't say that I was "stuffed" after eating all... More

My wife loves English tea rooms, so I surprised her with a visit to the Grand Tea Room. My experience in tea rooms is minimal (I was the only man out of 20 people there) but it seemed to have excellent service and a good choice of teas. Most of all my wife was happy.

We celebrated our friend's birthday at the Grand Tea Room recently in the heart of old town Escondido. I was impressed with their presentation and the decor. A very nice selection of teas that was served in beautiful cups with your choice of two teas for our table of 5. Definitely enough food with two different tea sandwiches but the... More

Well decorated and furnished for comfort. Staff young, courteous and enthudiastic. Food is excellent but the staff is the thing that makes it.

Her Royal Highness would feel right at home at this charming little gem in the heart of Escondido! LOCATION/DECOR: This place is literally on Grand Avenue in this small metropolis town of North San Diego County. The exterior doesn't convey the charm this place holds within its quaint walls but once you enter you certainly feel like you are transported... More

I recently decided to try out this charming little Tea Room in Escondido with a dear friend after seeing the beautifully designed website and reading the story of its founding by the owner. The service is excellent and they are in no hurry to get you out if you have reserved an Afternoon Tea (takes about 2 hours). One of... More

Celebrated my birthday there with my friends. Had a lovely time. The food was good, but I have had better at other tea rooms. The atmosphere is great and a good time was had by all.
