We go in for lunch frequently. We start with a dozen of the various oysters. We then switch to a dozen of the ones we like best. Next, we switch to either calamari or fish tacos. Of course, we are having two or three of the exceptional drinks. Then you uber home :-)

They are perfect, just the right amount of pernod...very fresh hand shucked oysters, bacon, spinach and cheese. We could eat them daily!!!! Fish tacos and spinach salad are good too and Wednesdays are half off bottle of wine. But it's the oysters that we come back for....

Love the newly remodeled oyster and bar are, they have great happy hour deals on drinks and food which are equally good. Service is always good. Don't like the remodeled restaurant areas it's a miss, feels like a CoCos for the pricing in this area it just doesn't feel worthy. Food is okay but doesn't taste fan to table, tastes... More

Updated decor and menu. Bar and outside seating has increased. Very bright and Industrial decor. Good food. Friendly staff. Popular with locals. Crab and lobster cobb was very good. Half serving would have been enough. Request extra dressing. July salmon special was good, but not outstanding. Did have to return fish to kitchen to get fully cooked. Comprehensive wine and... We used to eat here very often - but following the remodel about a year ago, we're not as likely to visit this restaurant. The entire "mood" of the restaurant has changed - it used to be a relaxing and private place to come following a long day of work. The lights were dimmed and you felt relaxed and private.... More

My wife and I stopped here for a late lunch and were truely surprised by the best service we have encountered in a long while. We each had the Crab and Shrimp salad with each having a different dressing. The salads were very large with enough to take home. Also their coffee is something exceptional.

The overhaul has freshen up the mainstay. The bar has oyster bar and great happy hour inning options. The bar area is suitable for both happy hour and dining. It's contemporary lively and food and service is very good. The dining room is a bit of a miss on decor feeling like a Denny's more than fine dining, they need... More

With the remodel, this is now a lively, entertaining place to meet up with friends. It's light, bright and we'll served. No relationship to earlier '50's style.

Last week my wife and I had lunch at the Brigantine in Escondido, CA. This was our fourth or fifth visit, second since remodeling. Food and Service remain very good. Outside seating is available although we chose inside due to the heat of the day. Self parking is adequate. This restaurant shares property with a Vons retail store and gas... More

This was our third visit since the remodel and it's going to be our last. The place has become too sterile and divided up. The menu has been reduced and the prices increased. We sat in the main dining room in two seat chairs but unfortunately the height of the table relative to the chairs is off. I am a... More
