While the coffee is not my favorite here (I prefer darker roast) The salads and baked goods are yummy. The location is the best. It is just so satisfying to sit outside that cute yellow historic train station.

If you are coming to visit San Diego, this is a must stop. Located in an old railroad station, this place oozes charm and character. Great coffee, breakfast sweets and egg dishes. You can count on local's knowing the best place to go. You may be the only tourist there.

This was my second trip to Encinitas and San Diego within the last year, and so far Pannikin has won me over as being the best coffee I've had in the entire region (including the City of San Diego and San Diego County). The coffee and specialty drinks are delicious and the building the business occupies is historic. I love... More

This place reminds me of the small town I grew up in, if my small town grew up, moved to the coast, and did a lot of baking and meditation and lived on the coast! These are the best baked goods in town!

Whilst staying during the summer in the Econo Lodge just round the corner from Pannikin we regularly visited here for coffee. As it was very hot during early September we only had the iced coffee's but they were very good along with tasty food and cakes. Would highly recommend!

I love the feel of this place. The building is an old train station, and it is located across from the railroad tracks on the 101 in Encinitas. They have great coffee and nice baked and breakfast items. They have a little general store set up in the cafe. The cafe has a rustic feeling and has indoor and outdoor... More

This is a great spot to sit and relax to enjoy coffee or tea. Staff is very friendly and most have worked there for years. They have great breakfast and the baked goods are delicious! Outdoor pet friendly too!

I always love going to the Pannikin, but this time the coffee I had was okay, not great, and there was no WiFi. However, the service is friendly, the baked goods are amazing, and the grounds and building are very charming. I kind of prefer the one in La Jolla, as it's a bit quieter and the coffee's better.

My wife and I passed the restaurant on the way to Torrey Pines for an early morning hike - the ambience of the place drew us in - so we circled around and stopped by for coffee and a scone. There is a lot to like - the building itself has been expertly converted from an old train station to... More
