Visited on a recommendation and was highly pleased. The service was spot on, as was the food. We had the Lobster ravioli and spaghetti al checco. Both were cooked perfectly and very tasty.

This is a favorite when I visit Encinitas. It's small and authentic. I always get the veal but I have to confess I can't resist the desserts! Have a glass of Malbec with your dinner and you have the perfect meal.

This is definitely wonderful food. Maybe the best in No. County.... But the atmosphere is very difficult. The restaurant is small, packed and extremely noisy. Reservations during the week, but not on weekends. Really delicious food, but we can't frequent the the restaurant anymore. Their sister restaurant in Hillcrest, Arreviderci, is delicious and very nice atmosphere.

Worth the wait. Small place. Excellent food. You will love it! Pastas and eggplant were yummy. Menu changes, so not sure what they have right now. Food is made to order, and it's very crowded...so maybe a little wait, but worth it

I have been here about 15 times and it has never dissappointed! This is my fave Italian restaurant in California by far.I went last weekend for the first time in a few years and it was perfection as usual.

My husband and I are San Diego (North County) locals and this is our go-to date place. The staff is attentive and friendly. There is no pretension; they genuinely do remember us and treat us like family. The caprese is delicious and all the specials are superb. They are always busy, so show up early! The noise doesn't bother us... More

Every year we look forward to the West Coast Swing, so that we can come visit one of our favorite Italian spots. The bread is always fresh and we've tried multiple items that have all been good. Good energy and relaxing simple atmosphere.

My daughter loves Italian food and found her favorite place in Little Italy in San Diego. However, living in North San Diego County we were looking for someplace a bit closer to home. One day while in Encinitas we decided to give Trattoria a try. We were delighted! The pasta was exceptional, the sauces exquisite and the service excellent. The... More

The italian food is excellent, however it was very noisy and difficult to hold a conversation. If you don't care about that and just want to enjoy good Italian food then this is a good spot.

Oh my god, that was good italian. Grilled peaches with burrata and arugula drizzled with balsamic, a deliciously garlicy tomato soup, and an ossobuco that I'll stand up to any in Italy; this is a perfectly wonderful find in Encinitas. I'd suggest ordering any of the specials. We have yet to try anything on the "regular" menu. You will not be... More

Cozy and quaint setting that will bring you back to Italia! A true trattoria one would find roadside in Tuscany. Our cuisine is traditional authentic Italian. With many classical dishes including homemade lasagne, our classic ricotta & spinach ravioli and gnocchi made in house daily. Bread fresh from the oven every morning compliments our garlicky Sicilian tomato pesto dipping sauce. A rock star wine list with more than 100 bottles offered at every price point and more than 20 wines by the glass to choose from. Daily specials are more contemporary Italian with a range of game meats including rabbit, venison, quail and bison using produce and recipes of the season. Gluten-free & whole grain pastas are available as well as a wide variety of vegetarian items to choose from.

We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and high quality products for an enchanting experience for all of our guests. Raise your glass and fill your soul with heart and goodness ~ cheers!
