I must have passed this place 1,000 times and never noticed it until I was invited by some friends. What a surprise! True to Leucadia's funky reputation, this is a small place on Hwy 101 with indoor and outdoor seating, and a very large and interesting menu. They serve breakfast until 4 pm, and among other choices, you can build... More

Just had another great meal at Le Papagayo! We come here each year when we vacation in Carlsbad and are never disappointed 😊 Our vacations typically coincide with a family member's birthday and this is where we come to celebrate! During our visit last night, we happened to come on their "All Night Happy Hour" special which was even better!... More

WOW !!!!!!! An amazing breakfast delicious to the tee !!!! I had the corned beef ,eggs, and delicious potatoes served in a Skillet which was such a surprise !!! The corned was not canned but delicately tenderized and excellent texture. Also enjoyed the organic coffee. In addition to the above, the service was outstanding, friendly and professional by all that helped... More

One of my favorite places and obviously a lot of others favorite place because it is always crowded at dinner but so worth the wait. Food has never disappointed and having live music is an added bonus. Great ambiance, good location.

I stopped in for lunch while house hunting in the rain. I loved the relaxed atmosphere, and the service was friendly and prompt. I had a great tasting chardonnay that I had never heard of before and was reasonably priced, along with delicious fresh fish tacos and a warm bread pudding. I'll be back"

What a fantastic place for food that's delicious, reasonably priced and a bit out of the ordinary. The casual decor and friendly quick service combines with live music to make this a happy place. The bar area in front opens up to a dining area and patio in the back. The menu is reminiscent of Spain and Portugal with other... More

We live in San Diego and frequent this restaurant often. Wonderful menu, kind of eclectic in a good way! Great service, great presentation, food always delivered quickly, hot and delicious. I recommend reservations especially on Tuesday because it's happy hour all day and in the summer it can get very busy. Try it out you won't be disappointed.

This is really a unique restaurant, both in food choices and ambiance. It often reminds me of a European cafe. Dine inside or out, always excellent service and the food choices offer opportunities for almost anyone in every group. Evenings have a louder buzz, while lunch or breakfast usually offer a quieter time. I have eaten there dozens of times... More

Casual dining in and out. TV behind long bar. Noisy in bar but not in room by outdoor patio. Cold and rainy today so sat inside. Grandson had huge chorizo burger with frys - very satisfied! We had 3 cheese grilled cheese sandwich that was most delicious! Served with fries or greens or sweet potato fries. Full service wine and... More

This is a great local restaurant with very interesting food. We like the calamari and their skillet breakfasts. They also have a taco option with a cheese "tortilla." It's delicious, but better bring a huge appetite or a few people to share it with! The waitstaff is knowledgeable and fun! They also have a great happy hour. Try some of... More
