What a great place, yes it is basic and you order from the counter and stand in line but when fish so fresh and cooked so well who cares!!!! We tried a few different things and all great. On second visit I had the fish curry, lovely, great flavours and plenty of fish. Staff are all really friendly and obviously... More

We found this one thanks to very high (well-deserved) reviews on Yelp. It is a little hole in the wall right next to US 101 between a couple of motels. Parking is sparse, but you can park on the dirt embankment across the street. We got there at the beginning of the dinner rush. You order at a counter, and... More

The best fish tacos I have eaten anywhere in San Diego. The calamari was excellent. Happy hour is 4-6pm. It is definitely worth the trip.

We are from Temecula and drive out to Fish 101 when we want to eat great seafood. The line is always out the door, but worth the wait. This place has fresh food, consistent quality and the grilled fish tacos are to die for. Everything that we have ordered here has been fantastic. I just wish we lived closer. An... More

Looking forward to fish and chips. But batter on all three pieces of fish mushy - undercooked. Hard to do with something simple like fissh and chips.

First thing you need to know is it's walk-ins and there maybe a line. It is super casual and absolutely not glamorous in anyway. You order from the counter and food is brought to your table. The fish is unbelievably good. I had the most delicious Ahi Poke bowl. I asked for dressing on the side, the Ahi was so... More

This is a great, family-friendly restaurant with some of the freshest fish you can get. It's an extremely casual restaurant, and it gets crowded, but there is a great atmosphere. Ultimately it's the food that matters and the fish here is excellent. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

We eat with my kids (9-11) and we all loved it. The food was local and fresh. The mahi mahi was a bit overcooked but still tasty. The ice cream vanilla machine was not working but we took the Chocolat with salted caramel roping and it was so good. Just to small ! ;( The tuna poke was very tasty... More

We dined here a few weeks ago - after several unsuccessful attempts (it is so popular - queues out the door are a regular thing!) We got a variety of dishes and no one was disappointed. The baja shrimp sandwich and tacos are particularly amazing. Really good mexican beers too!

Grilled Fish taco and grilled shrimp taco are both perfect with a slight edge to the shrimp. Kids had fish and chips and great fries. They even serve one of the best burgers, according to one of my teens, down this stretch of highway
