An excellent choice for a vegan, vegetarian or poultry diners. Lots of salads, big menu. Nothing super creative, but good wholesome food. Four of us had vegan meals and one a turkey sandwich. Everybody was a first timer at Lotus Cafe. We were all happy with the meal. You order and pay at the counter. The meals are delivered to... More

I absolutely love Lotus Cafe. First off, I am a vegan. I love how many vegan options they have available. They also serve to non vegans, which makes lunches out with a mixed crowd a breeze. They have a large menu with many options, and breakfast too. Everything I have had was delicious, flavorful, and health conscious. The vibe there... More

I found this cafe through Trip Advisor when I was filtering restaurants coming back from Legoland. My wife and I have nothing but good things to say. The staff was helpful and friendly and the food hit the spot. The lasagna was the best veggie lasagna I'd ever had and one of the best overall. The kids grilled cheese were... More

You order at the cou ter and they bring your food to you. The portions are substantial, the food is very fresh and homemade. Very enjoyable experience.

I took my sister on a last minute drive to Encinitas to see Self Realization Temple, Meditation Gardens and Meditation Chapel on J. St. We got there from Los Angeles County about 3:30pm Saturday due to traffic. San Diego was hosting Yoga Journal Live in Hotel Del Coronado for 3 days and couldn't make it so we decided to go... We love their blackened salmon on any of their salads. Their soups are goid, and my favorite shake is the carrot with icecream which tastes like pumpkin

Stopped in to get a couple of smoothies. Staff was nice and Smoothies were great. Looks like they have a large vegetarian menu. We will definitely stop by again before we leave town.

Good food is getting easier to find, but if you a want simple, no frills place that is good tasting and (more importantly) good quality this is a good spot. They have some outdoor seating that is my favorite. This spot is good breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The food was fresh and well-prepared. The enchiladas were reminiscent of real ones and the vegeburger and salads were very good. The prices were very reasonable. You order at the counter (and collect utensils and condiments) and the food is delivered to you.

Stopped in here back in March. Kept the card, in order to write this review. Had a delicious and super healthy meal. One member of the group is gluten and dairy-free and she found plenty of wonderful food to eat. Very nice location with indoor and outdoor dining areas. When we are back in the area, we will definitely go... More

Lotus Cafe is dedicated to serving fresh, healthy, natural food at affordable prices, prepared with love, simplicity, and a joyful heart. Our ingredients are sourced with care and are always natural. My husband and I, who are the owners of Lotus Cafe and Juice Bar, have been long-time vegetarians (21+ years). We wanted to create a place where vegans, vegetarians, and my own family (who are not all vegetarians) could come and happily share a meal together. While Lotus is predominantly a vegetarian restaurant, we also offer many fish, chicken, and turkey options, with a fish special every night; there is also a turkey burger for our non-vegetarian patrons. Lotus Cafe is casual and affordable; you place your order at the counter, get your table number, and on your way to your table collect your napkins, utensils, condiments, and help yourself to water at one of the condiment counters. Pick the table of your choice, and a food runner will bring your food out to you. We have ample seating both inside and outside, with a patio in back and seating that wraps around the side and front of the cafe if you prefer to be outdoors. We feel very blessed to be so whole-heartedly embraced and supported by our wonderful local Encinitas community; and we are also deeply appreciative of our loyal following of out-of-town visitors and regulars! If you looking at the TripAdvisor website because you are traveling, we wish you a blessed and beautiful journey, filled with much Joy, Inspiration, Peace, and Well-being! Blessings, johanna & carl
