Love this local bakery with French inspired food. I find them to be very consistent and good quality. Only downside are the people in the open courtyard who think its ok for their dog to sit on the table. I do come here a few times a year and when family/ friends are visiting.

Love, love this place. Great bistro for weekend breakfast [or any other time]. Small busy little shop but great outside seating. Employees are very friendly and attentive. Food is exceptional and French desserts and sweets are phenomenal. Not enough great words to say how much I love this restaurant.

If we are close we are stopping for breakfast. We usually make a trip to this area twice a year. So we eat breakfast here twice a year. You cannot go wrong with the croissant French toast or the Croque Madame with roasted potatoes on the side. The customer service is very good and the patio dining is very nice... More

We've had breakfast here a several times over the years. The food is good, not great but it's a lovely setting in the courtyard. I do want to commend Jonathan, who in the past few visits has taken care of us. His enthusiasm, graciousness and professionalism is a tribute to this neighborhood bistro. He is always helpful, cheerful and kind.... More

My husband and I wanted to get a bunch of desserts to try. Their selection was poor for a Friday afternoon. The service was friendly and helpful. We ended up getting $45 worth of pastries and not one item stood out to me. They were out of cheesecake slices and carrot cake slices. The chocolate eclairs were bland and tasted... More

Here is the scoop: Out of all the amazingly fabulous bakeries we have in Encinitas, this is the weakest link. Try Darshan just down the street, or try Elizabethan, or try the French Bakery next to Ralphs on El Camino Real. Those are all better than this one.

This is right in the center of downtown Encinitas with nice outside dining. (important to us as we have a 4 legged fur child) A beautiful walk from San Elijo State Beach if you happen to be camping there. I don't typically order veggie sandwiches but this one caught my eye. Mediterranean Veggie! Served on Foccaci bread with sun-dried tomatoes,... More

The location is splendid but the food was poor. I had a croque monsieur which was made using very thin, small slices of swiss cheese and bread that was not fresh. My wife had a custard brioche which was stale and inedible (we discovered upon getting it home). This place needs to remember that a good reputation is hard earned... More

Great breakfasts, and often there are musicians playing on the outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Right next to Starbucks on PCH, their lunch and dinner selections are very tasty also. Having eaten here fairly often, I have always had delicious foods, desserts and coffee offerings. For dinner, this is a great take out if you are staying nearby.

We met here for a casual French meal and weren't disappointed. Every dish we ordered was superb. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Handicapped access made the experience even easier for our wheelchair friend. St. Tropez is a very dog-friendly establishment so go ahead and being Fido. Bon appetit!
