Walked in the Coffee Mill Cafe (now Encinitas Cafe) in 1976, ordered the scrambled eggs and ham special. Forty years later I get the buckwheat waffle, but my wife still gets the scrambled eggs and ham. Same wonderful service, mostly the same decor (the buffet in the side room is no more. Lets say, 2 Sundays per month for forty... More

Had a great breakfast here with friends. Best egg Benedict I've had. Staff are fun, friendly, efficient and it's easy to see they like what they do.

We had several different dishes ie, open face hot sandwwich, entrees and regular sandwich. All were well prepared and served at the right temperature. Service was great. Prices were reasonable.

We stopped by for a late Wednesday lunch. It was nearly 2 pm and there were only a few customers, so we had our choice of tables. We took a cozy window table looking out at PCH and the sidewalk passing parade. The Encinitas Cafe is a casual place frequented by locals as well as tourists. It's an older place,... More

Excellent little diner! Great chocolate shake. Had the Ella's grilled cheese with onion rings and it was perfect. Awesome service as well. Great find, and easy on the wallet!

They serve the best banana walnut and blueberry pancakes I have tasted. They also serve a wonderful Mimosa at only $3.95! Their prices are very reasonable. We had gone there with a two year old toddler who was kept entertained by their collection of toy cars which allowed us to have a leisurely breakfast that lasted over an hour.

Stopped into Encinitas Cafe for first time this Monday at 10AM. Meet/greet was friendly and coffe flowed before I could get out my laptop. "Bubbles" was my happy server. Ordered a spinach, bacon, avocado, swiss 3 egg omelette that was fabulous. Spent a few hours here and staff had no prob with that. Everyone, including locals hanging out was friendly.... More

Stopped here when the 101 Diner was closed. It's a cute café, the food was good, I enjoyed the hot beef sandwich which was filling. One thing I liked was they had a guy just running around refilling drinks. I never take pictures of my food but did this time, it looked so good.
