I love their infused cocktails and happy hour! Their food is SO GOOD. I never leave feeling like I overspent, worth every penny! The friendly staff, the delicious food, the AMAZING, strong drinks!! Give them a try, seriously!
Great people, awesome food, great atmosphere and dancing on Thursday nights. I discovered this place by mistake and now it is one of my favorite places to visit. Food is what you would expect - extremely tasty and good. You will get hooked.
This restaurant has a great ambiance and excellent food, but the service was extremely slow and unresponsive. We had to ask several different people to bring us drinks and again for refills. A member of our party ordered paella, and we were warned it could...take 40 minutes, but even our appetizers and salads were slow to arrive. If you have a lot of time and are not very hungry when you show up, this is a great place to spend an evening with friends.More
My friend and I decided to go here for our monthly outing. We were seated immediately (Tuesday evening) and Anthony came to take our drink orders. My friend ordered a drink and I chose to stay with water. We ordered the guacamole and chips. The...guacamole was creamier than I like it (I like it chunky with cilantro, onions, and tomatoes.) but the chips were great. Anthony took our food order and put it in right away since it said that the paella takes about 40 minutes. He was very attentive with refilling our water and checking in on us.
The paella arrived much sooner than the expected wait time and was delicious. It truthfully was enough for 3 people and priced well for a 2 person entree.
Anthony shared information about music entertainment and when he works so that we can come back and visit. We will definitely come back and try some of the other items on the menu. I am truly interested in the Cuban sandwich. I am from Chicago originally and have been disappointed at California's renditions of a Cuban sandwich. Hopefully, Lola's will change my mind. :)More
In Elk Grove so friends suggested meeting at Lola’s. The Mojito’s were very good. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich, 2 could share it. One of the best I’ve had outside Miami. My friends had the Mac n’ Cheese with Chorizo with just the right amount...of spice and creaminess. The Fish Tacos were very good but messy. The Shrimp Scampi was a favorite.More
Went here for a family dinner on a Wednesday evening, so it wasn't very crowded. It took close to an hour for our food to be served to us, and about thirty minutes for us to get our check after asking our waitress for it....Despite the slow service, the food was pretty good. I recommend the Quesadilla con Pollo.More
This was my third or fourth visit to Lola's, & previously, I've had a good experience. This time, though, was a bit different. I made reservations (or at least I thought I did by leaving a VM in the afternoon) but a table was not...reserved for us. Luckily, it was not a busy night at the restaurant. We were seated shortly after we arrived, but sat waiting for someone to take our drink order for quite a while. Eventually, a very over-worked & stressed waiter came to our table. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, & as helpful as he could be considering he was the only one covering us & a table of 15 next to us. We ordered a pitcher of sangria for the adults & lemonade & Sprite for the younger ones. When the sangria finally arrived, we were told it was the last pitcher they had. Apparently, it had been sitting around a while with ice in it since it was terribly watered down & didn't taste good at all. The lemonade was also watered down & disappointing. I usually order the paella here because it is soooo good, but I was afraid to this time considering how long the wait was for service. Instead I ordered the Caribbean Chicken entree, & it was very good. Everyone else seemed happy with their food, as well. My husband had the El Cubano sandwich, which he enjoyed. My cousin had the day's special -- spicy chicken wings. My mom had the mini Latino sliders & my daughter had the Chorizo Mac Con Queso. Overall, we were satisfied with the meal, but it was very underwhelming in comparison to the other times we've gone to Lola's. I really hope the service, drinks & food goes back to how it was when they first opened. Lola's really is a gem in Old Town Elk Grove, & I'd hate to see it go downhill. Despite our most recent visit, it truly is worth checking out to support them, especially as a non-chain restaurant (which is rare in these parts). However, if things don't improve, I can see them being a casualty to the already stressed-out restaurant business in Elk Grove.More
