With frequent trips from Redding to Mt. Shasta my wife and I had heard Dunsmuir had a brewery we should visit. We stopped in and it was a classic mirco brewery with a restaurant. We decided to just have a beer and enjoy the day. It was sunny and beautiful and they have outdoor seating. We sat outside and a... More

Hubby and I decided to take a quick break from the holidays and take a drive north to enjoy the scenery of our beautiful north state. As it was nearing the lunch hour we decided to pop in to the DBW for lunch. We have dined there numerous times over the course of the summer, and while I have enjoyed... More

5 star food, 4 star beer, super friendly service. Stopped in on our way down I-5 and was very happy with our decision. We ordered the Rueben and pulled pork sandwiches - both of which were excellent. The meat was lean and tender and the serving sizes were ample. If they had French fries it would have been perfection! The... More

Stopped here a few years ago and it was great. Stopped again last night on our way to ice skating in the snow. It was packed but they handled it well. Waiter was young and tried real hard but inexperienced. The Ruben was great and the potato salad was wonderful. Then the beer was very good! Great stop!

Went on a Sunday afternoon to a full restaurant minus one two-top available. Perfect. Wait staff was friendly and on it with the drink and food orders, as well as explaining the beer in the flight we ordered. The prices are fair because the food is so tasty ($11 for a vegetarian sandwich and side; $15 for an elk burger... More

Summer evenings are a great time to hang out at the Dunsmuir Brewery. The food and beer are tasty, there are often local musicians playing, and the atmosphere of a small mountain town is refreshing.

Allured by the open outdoor patio and craft brew list, we brought the dog along for a nice sunny couple pints and ended up ordering food as well. My elk burger was awesome, my gfs vegi burger was not that spectacular but still filling. The beers were what stood out, offering a lovely spectrum of different tastes to be enjoyed!... More

We went for lunch & the food was so good (BLT on wheat, elk burger on ciabatta) that we went back later for beer & an appetizer. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, the breads were all delicious & the servers knew their menus & beer. The appetizer we had was the bruschetta & that didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed my kolasch... More
