We went for take out at Amakara. Service was very good. We both had their udon noodles - good. I had their sashimi. My husband had their tempura. Food wa good.

The food is amazing, large selection of sushi, robata and various other small plates. Did I mention their great selection of Japanese whiskies? My only complaint is that they don’t take reservations! Arrrrggh. I don’t know why? They are always packed so that’s probably why...but I would live if they could set some tables aside for reservations...More

This is the best Sushi in this area. Yes a bit pricier but worth it. Reservations are recommended it may be packed.

The variety of dishes are great and the tempura is excellent! Service is good, however the noise level makes conversation a bit difficult!

We hadn’t great lunch at Amakara, with a very generous serving of Teriyaki Salmon served very quickly by a helpful staff. The restaurant is a bit loud, but has a nice atmosphere. Note that parking is available in the parking garage out in the back...of he building. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food, service and atmosphere. Large variety of Asian foods to choose from on the menu.More

Love their newer location but parking can be a little tricky. Best sushi restaurant in the area. Variety of fish and rolls are immense. Service was great. Had sake for the first time. Really enjoyed it. Great for group outings.

We went there the first time for my wife's birthday. We made reservation through Yelp and got a seat right on time. The place was packed. Very popular place. A little noisy for my taste. But the service was good. Food was excellent, especially the...sushi and the fish. Not cheap but worth the price. Parking is not easy. We ended up parking across the street as it was in the evening.More

Yum yum yum! I am never disappointed. You have to try the Lichee martini (thank you Micah!). We always sit at the bar and have a feast. We love the roasted edamame, chicken katsu, udon noodle soup, Scallop Paradise; all the sashmi. I ask for...spicy ponzu and spicy mayo on the side. I crave this place!More

We went with a fairly large group on a Thursday night. Extremely busy- lots of people waiting for a table. We waited about 20 min which wasn’t bad for the size of group we had. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Service was pretty good- they sat...us at a booth with a chair at the end which was inconvenient as the kitchen was directly behind one person in our party. We ordered lots of sushi rolls- sushi was beautiful to the eye but a little bland. Highlight was the grilled edamame- it was incredible. All in all it felt very average.More

Excellent dishes. I arrived slightly before 5:00 for dinner and the place was already starting to get backed up. I had drinks and dinner at the bar. By 5:30 bar was full. Initially bar service was a bit slow (they were trying to get drinks...out for the initial dinner orders) it improved once caught up. Ordered sashimi and roll from happy hour menu and was not disappointed. Ingredients were very fresh and food was excellent. Recommend making reservations, if not arrive early to beat the rush. Food is excellent with good service. Will definitely eat here again next time I am in Dublin.More
