Unique interior – lots to look at. Large high top tables in the large open seating area. Happy drinks and food. We had the giant meatball (lots of black pepper), the tricolor salad (very fresh – made as we watched) and the polenta and ragu (lamb). These 3 small plates were plenty for 2 people. We want to go back and try the pizza, which looked amazing.

Ate outdoors on the former parking lot. Not enough heaters to go around. Cold wind from the ocean. Went with small plates to share among two: Italian chopped salad, $14; giant meatball, $12.50; Rigatoni Bolognese, $20. Meatball and salad were fine; Rigatoni bland. Corkage $25. Food and corkage total: $71.50. Automatically added 3.95% surcharge ($3.04) and $17 tip, about 21% of costs, including tax. Suggested added tips were at the bottom (2, 3, 5 and 7 percent). We've always enjoyed indoor dining here. The outdoor experience fell far short of expectations.

Wonderful couples dinner last night! I loved the family style options which we did for one of the salads but they have pasts as well. We started with an amazing wine from their extensive list. In fact, for our second bottle the sommelier actually came by and helped us pick. Entrees included- the chicken, which was delicious, the pasta with sausage and from what I heard, one of the best burgers ever! Make a reservation because it gets packed.

While the restaurant had a lively vibe and I enjoyed a delicious cocktail, I hate to say I was not happy with my meal. The charcuterie was uninspired and the rigatoni bolognese was devoid of flavor. To say it was bland is to be kind. The attentive waitress was good enough to deduct the charge for my entree when she saw it was relatively untouched. I take no joy in writing this review but since I chose it based on the TA rating, I felt it was necessary.

Two of us shared an excellent leisurely meal. The food was expertly prepared with very fresh ingredients. We ordered the whole roasted branzino and short rib pappardelle entrees. Both arrived rich in flavor and at the proper temperatures. Our server was extremely attentive. We shared a great meal. Would definitely return!

Expanding into the parking lot was a great idea in light if COVID. It’s all blocked off and fake grass covers the lot. Plenty of heaters. Outstanding service and the food was equally great. We had focaccia as an appetizer, and it was superb, chopped Italian salad and short ribs and pasta. Yum! Easy access from the 5 and plenty of parking.

We came for outside dining with a party of 10. A number of restaurants wouldn't take a reservation for an outside table but they did here. The upstairs is set up very well, with tables spaced well and heaters. The food was excellent. We shared a number of small plate appetizers and each ordered an entree. Highly recommend for very good Italian in a lovely setting

Great service putting up with our large group. Pizza is not great. Dry tasteless and crust is very mediocre, an unforgiving mistake. The family servings of pasta are highly recommended but again nothing is so tasty that it stands out. I would do the rigatoni and meat sauce again in a heartbeat

Came here for a birthday dinner. Shared a number of appetizers and had individual main courses. All of the appetizers were fantastic: Spanish octopus, carpaccio, and squash blossoms. All of us enjoyed our main courses. It was a birthday dinner and they comped us a chocolate mousse dessert. Also delicious with a perfect cup of cappuccino. Wine by the glass was 50:50. On glass showed signs of the bottle being open too long, the other was fresh. The restaurant and very active bar area are quite beautiful. There's also nicely done outdoor seating area though we decided to stay indoors in January. This restaurant is not technically in Del Mar and away from the oceanside area. That said it's a beautiful place and worth visiting.

First of all the food is absolutely not tasty. Pasta which costs around 30$ cooked in a Mexican Street food truck. I asked less chill, but no one cared and I tried to eat this pasta without any enjoyment since it was very hot! Fish was also cooked pretty simply and not tasty. Cocktail Long Island - usually has Coca-Cola, but they prepare it in different ways without any updated information. Another cocktail which is classic Italian and in an Italian restaurant supposed to be perfect but also bad! Our waiter did not clean the table from dishes for around 20 minutes after we were done. The table was dirty and he did not clean it before putting our dessert. We ate it on a dirty table. So! I never had so a bad experience in all the dishes drinks coffee dessert service in the same restaurant.

The food really was wonderful. Three members of the party, including myself had the short rib pasta dish, and it really was outstanding. Worth every penny. The “giant” meatball was pretty big, but not huge for $14.50. I see another review had the giant meatball at $12.50, that’s a big bump up but it really was delicious. So I guess my point is with prices tilted toward the high side, including $37 for a chop salad to feed the table of 7, wondering why they are still adding a 4% surcharge onto the bill. Feels like a little profiteering. With tip for the seven of us including wine we were over $400. Pricey night, but we definitely did enjoy the food.

Had pizza….pepperoni was cut too thick. Barely created cupping. Crust was above average. Our salad was very good. Shared by three people. Service was very good. Very attentive. Had the preloaded tip amount. Parking is convenient.

Fabulous covid-compliant service. Excellent, creative food, and lovely, original and trend right surroundings; given you’re in a higher end strip mall, just off a busy road, and opposite Gelson’s and McDonalds, this is a great find for a buzzy night out.

We had 2 great salads and branzino. It was hard to pass over great looking pizza. We may stop by to take out. It’s pretty lively there.
