Had pizza….pepperoni was cut too thick. Barely created cupping. Crust was above average. Our salad was very good. Shared by three people. Service was very good. Very attentive. Had the preloaded tip amount. Parking is convenient.

Two of us shared an excellent leisurely meal. The food was expertly prepared with very fresh ingredients. We ordered the whole roasted branzino and short rib pappardelle entrees. Both arrived rich in flavor and at the proper temperatures. Our server was extremely attentive. We shared...a great meal. Would definitely return!More

Expanding into the parking lot was a great idea in light if COVID. It’s all blocked off and fake grass covers the lot. Plenty of heaters. Outstanding service and the food was equally great. We had focaccia as an appetizer, and it was superb, chopped...Italian salad and short ribs and pasta. Yum! Easy access from the 5 and plenty of parking.More

Ate outdoors on the former parking lot. Not enough heaters to go around. Cold wind from the ocean. Went with small plates to share among two: Italian chopped salad, $14; giant meatball, $12.50; Rigatoni Bolognese, $20. Meatball and salad were fine; Rigatoni bland. Corkage $25....Food and corkage total: $71.50. Automatically added 3.95% surcharge ($3.04) and $17 tip, about 21% of costs, including tax. Suggested added tips were at the bottom (2, 3, 5 and 7 percent). We've always enjoyed indoor dining here. The outdoor experience fell far short of expectations.More

Fabulous covid-compliant service. Excellent, creative food, and lovely, original and trend right surroundings; given you’re in a higher end strip mall, just off a busy road, and opposite Gelson’s and McDonalds, this is a great find for a buzzy night out.

Wonderful couples dinner last night! I loved the family style options which we did for one of the salads but they have pasts as well. We started with an amazing wine from their extensive list. In fact, for our second bottle the sommelier actually came...by and helped us pick. Entrees included- the chicken, which was delicious, the pasta with sausage and from what I heard, one of the best burgers ever! Make a reservation because it gets packed.More

We had 2 great salads and branzino. It was hard to pass over great looking pizza. We may stop by to take out. It’s pretty lively there.

Beautiful decor with great food. I have visited with family (kids made their own pizza) and also with friends. Perfect for date night or family dining.

Unique interior – lots to look at. Large high top tables in the large open seating area. Happy drinks and food. We had the giant meatball (lots of black pepper), the tricolor salad (very fresh – made as we watched) and the polenta and ragu...(lamb). These 3 small plates were plenty for 2 people. We want to go back and try the pizza, which looked amazing.More

Californian-Italian restaurant with freshly made pastas and retail wine store. Made a reservation through Opentable for 6:30pm on a Saturday. There’s plenty of parking and the entrance is through the wine store. You check in with the hostesses to the left. We had to wait...about 15 min to get seated and were seated past our reservation time. The hostesses were a bit standoffish and cold, but the waiter we had was pleasant enough. There is bread service by request and I liked the freshness of the butter, although our waiter forgot to bring it out until we asked about it. We got the family style bucatini (~$52) and family style short rib pappardelle (~$59). Each family style serving serves 3-4 people and the serving signs were indeed generous. While we liked the bucatini a lot, we’ve had the same dish before at Cucina Urbana (a sister restaurant) and liked it better there. The guanciale wasn’t crispy, but the texture of the noodles were great and the sauce was appropriately spicy. The short rib pappardelle was also good, and there was plenty of meat. The sauce wasn’t as creamy as you would think, but it was a rich dish and I liked the sautéed mushrooms. There are bathrooms available in the back and they do take credit cards. It’s all indoor seating and they can accommodate large parties. I noticed that they do bring out little desserts for various parties celebrating birthdays. Overall we enjoyed the food (although Cucina Urbana was better imo) and ambiance, but found the service to be a tad lacking.More
