Del Mar Pizza is a terrific little pizza joint! Their staff is friendly and attentive. Service is speedy! And their pizzas are tasty! Like almost everything in Del Mar, this pizza is pricey. We did take out twice, ordering pizza, salads, and meatballs. Portions were generous- salads could definitely be shared.

I have been coming to Del Mar every year for at least 35 years (except 2020 due to Covid) and have always walked up from the beach or park and had great pizza. Before my experience of today I would have given them 5 stars....Today I ordered my usual slice and it was so hard I went back and asked for another slice. When he brought it it was nearly the same. Hard on the bottom and almost no cheese and totally dry. I even tried to scrape the cheese off the pizza and it would not come off. I don't know if this is new management or they are simply going to use Covid as an excuse to cut the ingredients that makes good or great pizza. Sorry but I will not be returning.More

Because of covid 19, we were unable to go to a fine steak restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Instead, we decided to get take out at Del Mar Pizza. The staff was so kind, adding two large chocolate chip cookies just out of the...oven to help us celebrate this important milestone. The pizza had quality ingredients and was delivered hot. Take out. One size pizza or by the slice only. Mediocre pizza and very over priced $5 per slice. I tried to add mushrooms to a pre made slice & was told the mushrooms won’t cook. I thought we all ate raw mushrooms in sales...etc. Besides, what pizza shop doesn’t offer a pizza with mushrooms. Obviously this one. The clerk had a attitude but noticed he left after I ordered. Maybe a bad day? Next time I’ll go to Il Fornaio across the street for a pizza to go. It’ll cost the same but better quality.More

Call me cheap but I'm not used to paying $27 for a carryout two item pizza (only have one size). Good thin crust, decent amount of cheese and I liked the sausage.

Just stopped in for to go of pasta dinner of penne (sauce choices were marinara, bolognese, butter and pesto) with garlic bread & salad (choice of cesare or chopped italian) and a chicken club sandwich. Service was super good, pasta was good sized and tasty...according to our daughter. Chicken club was one of the best I've ever had with awesome toasted bread. Had a draft pint of lager while waiting, total was $32.00.More

Tasty thin pizza, very good wings, and great salads. Friendly and efficient service. If it's too crowded, get your stuff to go and take it down to the beach to eat.

We've lived in Del Mar for over 25 years. Del Mar Pizza is legendary. When we had little kids, it was a great spot for family dining. For many reasons, we hadn't been there for years and years. The other night, wife, daughter and I...decided to turn back the hands of time, grab a pie and enjoy the sunset. We ordered the 16" customized for the three of us. We all agreed, the flavor was even better than we remembered. Thin crust - tangy sauce - flavorful toppings, great service and ambience beyond compare. While the price per pie may be higher than elsewhere, the value is amazing. One pie was enough for us, plus we took some home. If you live here, you love it already. There is indoor and patio seating. Your order at the counter and they find you by calling your name to deliver your food. The pizza was very good, the meatball sub was outstanding, the house salad was also excellent. The only disappointment was the pasta...which was overcooked. This is a busy spot for both eating in and carry out.More

Small, local pizza joint with really fresh ingredients. Family enjoyed a really delicious Caesar salad with avocado and crispy crust pepperoni, mushroom pizza.
